The FreeWave Fusion Basic 2.4 GHz Wireless Trigger System for Canon from Vello is a versatile, reliable remote control kit that will trigger a camera, shoe mount flash, and studio lights from up to 328' away. Sixteen discrete channels provide the ability to avoid interference from other users while maximizing your creative potential.

Use the system to expand the capabilities of a shoe mount flash or studio lights without the hassle of tangled PC cords. The FreeWave system is also great for capturing wildlife. Simply place the camera on a tripod and use the FreeWave Fusion trigger as a remote camera release from a distance. The trigger allows camera's shutter remotely to avoid unwanted camera vibration for sharper macro imaging. The 2.4GHz radio signal will pass through walls, windows, floors, and other obstructions.

The FreeWave Fusion Basic 2.4 GHz Flash Trigger Set is compatible with most major manufacturers' shoe-mount flashes with manual power control. Pentax, and Sony Minolta-type shoes are not compatible. Each unit runs off two AAA batteries (not included).

The FreeWave Fusion Basic can wirelessly trigger hot shoe flashes, studio lights, or a camera from up to 328' away. It can also be used as a wireless "cable release" for wildlife or on a tripod for macro work.

This low frequency signal can pass through and around obstructions offering greater flexibility in placement of flash units and cameras.

Take advantage of sync speeds that match the synch speed rating of a camera up to 1/250 sec.

The wireless system's 16 channels allow transmitter/receiver settings to be changed to avoid interference from other wireless devices.

Multiple receivers to trigger many flashes may be used with a single transmitter. Multiple cameras may also be triggered with additional receivers and shutter release cables.

Confirm communication of trigger system with pre-focus, shutter release, and flash trigger in wireless mode.

Use the FreeWave Fusion Basic on a tripod with a camera's Bulb setting to make exposures as long as the camera will support without touching the camera.

Press halfway to focus, press fully to trigger the shutter.

Release the shutter from a safe distance for photos of hard to approach wildlife.

Use the transmitter as a wireless "cable release" to avoid accidental movement when shooting close-up.

Allows the cameras motor drive to be used for rapid sequences.

Most hot shoe flashes, studio strobes, and cameras are compatible with the FreeWave Fusion Basic 2.4 GHz.

I owned this gizmo since May 2012 and paid $89.96 for it. Guess what it still works beautifully with my Canon 5Ds. It is small but very reliable. I would not want to purchase newer versions because I think that the materials used for this product is so much better than the newer versions available today. I will pick a few more receivers before it is no longer available.

I have been using Pocket Wizard Plus II's for a while and they were starting to not fire consistently so I bought a set of Vello's to try them out. I shoot a lot of action sports so timing is crucial and there are no re-do's. I found the FreeWave Fusion Wireless Flash Trigger to work superbly with absolutely no mis-fires. Having to not deal with line-of-sight issues that my Plus II's have will let me experiment more with my captures. Plus, having them integrate with my Speedlites cuts out bulk, weight and wires from my set-up making it easier to move my equipment around. The units are plastic but they appear to be built well. Size is important to me and the FreeWave Fusion Wireless Flash Trigger set is tiny compared to my Plus II's, leaving me more room in my bag for other important items. The transmitter runs on one CR-2032 battery (3 years life) and the receiver used 2 AAA's (300 hours life). Results are still preliminary but so far I am very happy with my purchase and I plan on adding more receivers and transmitters for my other body and strobes.

This is my first flash trigger unit and it works great! It was easy to connect and worked right away. I wasn't sure if I was going to have to configure it or anything like that, but once I plugged in/connected the units and turned them on they worked immediately. I didn't have any misfires and I wandered around my living room to test out the range and it worked just fine. I bought this unit because it had good reviews and was compatible with my Mark II and I'm very pleased! Only con I can think of is one unit uses triple A batteries and the other uses a little circle cell battery. So hopefully they last a long time but when once they die I'll have to go buy new ones as most people don't have these kind of batteries laying around the house. But these type of batteries also keep the weight to a minimum compared to double As or 9 volt so no biggy!

It's much better than I expected. Solid build, fires my nikon flashes remotely everyone I take a shot. Only works in manual mode, so be aware of this when making your choice for a remote trigger. I'm very happy with it.

A great product if you want to take your own professional pictures (with a tripod as well). Wished I could zoom on the wireless remote so I dont have to waste time running back and forth to the camera to check and change when needed. Otherwise, a great extra/perk to have!
