Q: 1. What size fits for Sony 300mm f2.8 lens?

A: The LensCoat Hoodie Lens Hood Cover (X-Large, Black) is the correct size to cover the Sony FE 300mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens (Sony E), BH #SO30028GM.

Q: 2. Will this product fit the nikor 24mm f/1.4 lens with it's hood reversed?

A: I bought this for the 50mm Nikon lens to fit over the lens shade for protection and quick on and off capability. The product was protective but fit so snugly over the shade that it was slow to remove and re-attach.

Q: 3. Will the x-large hoodie fit the Nikon 200-500 with the lens hood reversed on the end of the lens?

A: Hi, this hoodie is a little too big for the Nikon 200-500mm lens; the Large would be the right size: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/508911-REG/LensCoat_LCHLBK_Large_Hoodie_Lens_Hood.html

Q: 4. Is this too big for the Tokina 14-20mm f 2.0 82mm filter thread? What are the actual dimensions?

A: Dimensions:diameter at base = 4 outside, about 3 1/4 to 3/12 insidediameter at open end about 3 1/4 depth 2 1/4 I cannot tell you if it will fit your Tokina lens. But, I bought it to use on a Nikon 18-105 zoom lens. The medium sized Hoodie is too big and falls off fairly easy. I also tried the small size, but that fit so tightly it took too a long time and two hands to get it on and off the lens. So, I am not using either of the two Hoodies I bought.

Q: 5. Will this fit over the plastic lens hood of the Canon ef 100-400mm lens? Fit snugly and not fall off?

A: Lenscoat would suggest the LensCoat Hoodie Lens Hood Cover (Large, Black), BH # LELCHLBK. https://bhpho.to/3yDNEnM

Q: 6. You hoods look great and seem thinners than other ones I have seen. what is the best hood for the following lens: 1. Tamron SP70-200 77mm w/ hood attached. 2. Sony 16-50 72MM SSM w/hood attached?

A: I dont use Tamron lenses. I use only Nikon pro lenses, and the hoods that come with them. I think the best hood for any lens is the one made by the manufacturer. Its not the thickness but the shape that matters. Hoods become a pain to keep matched with lenses when they're all in my bag together, so I mark the focal length on the hood somewhere. Just write it on a small piece of paper and stick it on the hood. Hoods are a bit bothersome to use, esp. on a long lens, but its important to always use them to prevent extra light from sneaking in and ruining the exposure. I know you didnt ask this, but the best lens by far Ive ever used is Nikon 24-70mm. Stunningly sharp. It is expensive. If you want professional results, use professional gear.

Q: 7. What size LensCoat Hoodie Lens Hood cover fits the Nikon 200-500 lens?

A: The extra large hoodie is the correct one for the Nikon 200-500mm.

Q: 8. Size for canon 35-70?

A: Hello IraThe two Lenscoat medium Hoodies I bought were to replace the original plastic lens covers provided by Canon. It was taking too much time to remove and replace these plastic covers in the field so I now use Lenscoat hoods for all my lenses from 600mm down to 17-40mm.The medium hoods are for my 300mm f4 and 400mm f5.6 lenses that have a 77mm diameter. (They take 77mm filters) These hoods provide a loose fitting which is fine for me. You should check your lens diameter and make your choice on that. Based on my findings for a lens with 72mm or smaller diameter I use a smaller size than medium. The hoods are of high quality and provide extra benefit in that they don't get lost as easily as the plastic covers. I wholeheartedly recommend them.RegardsTerry

Q: 9. What size best fits a sigma 120-300 f2.8 sport Len's hood ?

A: Having been burned by the size chart on the mfg web site, I purchased an X-Large to fit over the hood of my 120-300 f/2.8. The web site says large but that won't fit on the hood only the actual lens. Yes I now own 2 of these.Lens only == largeLens hood == X-Large
