Harmony Engine from Antares Audio Technologies is a real-time harmony-creation plug-in that lets you quickly produce realistic vocal arrangements and explore harmonic alternatives from a single vocal line or monophonic instrument track.

The Harmony Engine gives you four high-quality harmony voices with independently adjustable vocal character, vibrato, and pan settings for realistic or extreme effects. Five channels of the Antares Choir vocal multiplier let you turn each harmony voice into 2, 4, 8, or 16 individual unison voices for thick unison choir effects. Each harmony voice can be processed through Throat Modeling technology, a physical model of the human vocal tract that produces natural-sounding performances.

Powerful control options abound. In fully automatic mode, set the key and harmony voice intervals and let the plug-in do the rest. MIDI mode lets you directly play the four harmony voices with your MIDI controller, as if they were voices of a synth or sampler.

Harmony Engine is compatible with the Auto-Key plug-in (available separately). Auto-Key is designed to save you countless hours in the studio by automatically detecting the key and scale of your music and sending that information to Harmony Engine with a single click.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this work with the blue yeti microphone?

A: Only if you can mount it on a mic stand.

Q: 2. How long is the daisy chain cable?

A: Speakers are daisy chained with cat5 cables so they can be made nearly as long as you'd like, cables aren't included however.

Q: 3. Some sites list the frequency range as 35Hz-20KHZ, while others (including yours) list it as 70Hz-20hz. Which is correct?

A: The frequency response of the Austrian Audio OC707 True Condenser Vocal Microphone is listed as 35 Hz to 20 kHz in the manufacturer's specifications. The manufacturer may have had an error in their original specs which incorrectly listed the range as 70 Hz to 20 kHz. Thank you for bringing this to our attention so we can have our web team update the information.

Q: 4. This unit is rev2 or rev3?

A: Rev 3

Q: 5. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO GET REPLACEMENT PARTS AND/OR PART NUMBERS FOR THE Q/BOX ?

A: Unfortunately when I broke mine in the past I've had to buy a new one as all the parts inside are pretty well sealed up. I crushed the link toggle switches into the unit and my engineer was unable to take the circuitboard out because the front facing XLR's are attached to the face. All in all, not very user-friendly.

Q: 6. Can I use this with Astatic 727-18 gooseneck microphone?

A: Yes, the Audio-Technica AT8615RS Quick Mount Plug-In Microphone Desk Stand can be used with the Astatic 727-18 Miniature Dynamic Gooseneck Microphone.

Q: 7. Is the thread on the stand mount 5/8 or 3/8?

A: The one that I recieved was 5/8

Q: 8. Does this work with a Rode NT1A microphone?

A: Yes. This will work with any mic.

Q: 9. how heavy is it?

A: Pyle Pro does not state the actual weight, but it is right around 5 lbs. Although not very heavy, the weight is not distributed evenly over the center, so it is recommended to use a heavy base mic stand, or tripod stand with no boom.

Q: 10. I have a XSW lav mic & receiver, Can 2 lab mics be pared with 1 reciver?

A: No. Only one transmitter can be used at a time with the Sennheiser XSW-D XLR MALE RX Plug-In Receiver.
