The center of the bar is designed with a 5/8" thread for mounting on a standard microphone stand. Additionally, the bar has six slits; each slit has a knurled screw with a 5/8" thread to attach the microphone, which can be adjusted variably and placed in the desired position on the bar. Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there a Warranty?

A: The Tentacle Sync Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with Locking 3.5mm Connector (Black) carries a 2-year manufacturer warranty.

Q: 2. would like to confirm, are the left and right mic mounts and knobs made of metal as appears in photo, also are they standard US mic thread (5/8 I think)? and, is the center bracket and hardware also metal?

A: Everything is sturdy metal except the part of the cap on the mic mount screw you turn to tighten. Even that is sturdy not cheesy. Standard thread to fit atop a mic stand. I mounted mine to a clamp. I had a little issue with the alignment of the clamp tightening screw and the nut on the center hardware making a little challenge to tighten, but even that was no big deal.

Q: 3. What is the thread size on the middle mounting hole?

A: The thread size of the middle mounting hole is 3/8 . However, this unit comes with a 5/8 adapter that fits in the middle mounting hole. This adapter can then be screwed on the end of any standard 5/8 microphone, just like you would do with a mic holder.

Q: 4. How do you set up for ORTF where one mic is raised? Is there some height allowance?

A: You should be able to move the bottom threaded washer up on the 3/8'' thread male to raise the overall height of a mic clip. However, if this wasn't high enough for your mics, a spacer and additional adapter would be needed. Here's a recommendation BH #DPDUA0019 along with B&H # ONMA300.

Q: 5. Does this come with (1) female 5/8 to male 3/8 adapter for the middle mount and (2) female 3/8 to male 5/8 adapters for the stereo mic mounts?

A: This stereo mount does come with all of the adapters required for 3/8-inch or 5/8-inch mounting of the microphones or on to a stand.

Q: 6. Will this work with rode wireless go system?

A: The Sennheiser ME 4 Cardiod Lavalier Microphone has a locking 3.5mm TRS connector and the mic input on the RODE Wireless GO II transmitter uses a standard, non-locking 3.5mm connector, so the mic will connect, but it will not latch to the input on the transmitter for a completely secure connection.

Q: 7. Could this work with a Deity PR2 or a Zoom h1n, or do those not supply enough power?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser ME 4 Cardioid Lavalier Microphone with Locking 3.5mm Connector (Black) is fully compatible with the Deity Microphones PR-2 32-Bit Float Pocket Audio Recorder as well as the Zoom H1n 2-Input / 2-Track Portable Handy Recorder with Onboard X/Y Microphone.

Q: 8. What is the Signal to Noise Ratio?

A: The manufacturer has not provided a specification for the signal to noise ratio of the Sennheiser ME 4 Cardioid Lavalier Microphone, but they have provided the equivalent noise level (self noise), which is rated at 31 dB.

Q: 9. Does the third mic get mounted on the center screw after it comes through the bracket? There are the joints of the adjustable arms there, I'm concerned there isn't enough space or thread length left to mount a third mic there.

A: This is a stereo bar and is intended to hold two microphones.

Q: 10. What is the (vertical) thickness of the bar?

A: The thickness is not listed on the K&M website- having used these, they are about 3/16" think and are strong. 3 year warranty... Per web page: K&M 23550 Specs Construction Metal Finish Black Dimensions 2.36 to 6.77" (60 to 172mm) length Weight Not specified by manufacturer

This K&M microphone bar feels well built. I've only used it twice and the product performed as expected.
