The cocoa B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Low Sensitivity, with Detachable TA5F Connector for Audio-Technica Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a TA5F connector for direct connection to an Audio-Technica ATW-U101 wireless bodypack transmitter.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Low, head miking for theater.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with a Sony PCM-M10 or Olympus LS-14? Thank you!

A: Hello. It doesn't appear that either recorder has an XLR jack, only 3.5mm (or 1/8 ). Technically you could use the TRAM mic, but it would require an XLR female to 3.5mm male adapter to convert the TRAM's XLR male plug to 3.5mm. Make sense?

Q: 2. I need to do an interview on a round table with max 3 persons..will this Mic be suitable for such a setting, using only one Mic?

A: No. Not a good idea.

Q: 3. anyone use this tram with the 3.5 gopro external connector?

A: thank you for your question. You are unable to use this tram with the go pro adapter as the go pro cannot provide proper voltage to power the microphone

Q: 4. Which TA5 connection will work for lectrosonics ZS-LRLT kit? There are 3 TA5 options but none list this specific body pack.

A: This Countryman B3 is compatible for use with the L Series LT transmitter included in the Lectrosonics ZS-LRLT kit. The TA5F (LS) notation for the connector shown in the description indicates that it is compatible.

Q: 5. Does it work with Sony UTX-B40?

A: Yes, this microphone was designed to be compatible with the Sony wireless systems including the UTX-B40.

Q: 6. Will this work with a Olympus digital recorder that has a 3.5mm input? By this I also wonder does it have that screw type thing for the wireless transmitter or without one as I need one without the screw type piece so it fits nicely?

A: The Countryman B3 for TOA transmitters features a mono 1/8 jack with locking screw connector. There is currently no B3 available designed for use with a portable recorder.

Q: 7. Can I use the Countryman B3 connected to a sony uwp-d11?

A: Only if it was wired for Sony. Although the 3.5mm connector for the Sony looks like your standard jack that you see on Sennheiser systems, it is actually wired differently, and you cannot swap them for each other.

Q: 8. Will this work with a Saramonic TX10?

A: We are using it with the Sennheiser TX/RX system. Not familiar with the Saramonic TX10. Sorry.

Q: 9. Is this wired for a Lectrosonics UM100?

A: if it's for Lectro wirelesses then it had a TA5 connector which will plug into the transmitter.

Q: 10. Does the Tram TR50 mic really fit loosely in the clips, as some have reported? (I just want to make sure whether it's common to the design or if some just received a dud.)

A: Mine fits snuggly but it's still pretty new.
