The tan B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Standard Sensitivity, with Detachable TA5F Connector for Lectrosonics Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a TA5F connector for direct connection to a Lectrosonics IM, LM, UM100, UM190, UM190b, UM195b, UM200, UM200b, UM200c, UM250b, UM250c, or UM400 wireless bodypack transmitter.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Standard, for most uses.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this Connector work with the Audio Technica ATW-T310?

A: Although the Tram TR50GSO- has a 4 pin hirose connector, it has been wired to work with Sony Wireless transmitters, and is not guaranteed to work with the Audio-Technica ATW-T310. These mics are not available for online purchase. Please call our sales team at 800.606.6969 to place a special order for the correct variant.

Q: 2. Are the mic cords long enough for a side-by-side interview (with a Digital Audio Recorder hidden behind personalities)? Or do you recommend use with a wireless transmitter? Thanks!

A: Probably. Mine is about eight feet long with an XLR connection that I plug into the camera. It's easy to hide. I just add a length of XLR cable when I need to be farther back with the camera. If you're going to a separate audio recorder it should be no problem.

Q: 3. Can i use it with my Sony microdot Connector?

A: No, the Countryman B3W4FF05BSE B3 Omni Lavalier Mic, Standard Sensitivity, with MicroDot Connector for Sennheiser Wireless Transmitters is wired specifically for direct connection to a Sennheiser SK 2012 wireless bodypack transmitter. Sony uses a proprietary wiring configuration which is different from the wiring configuration used by Sennheiser. As an option for the same microphone wired for compatibility with a Sony wireless bodypack transmitter that has a 3.5mm locking connector, you can use the Countryman B3 Omni Lavalier Mic, Standard Sensitivity, with 3.5mm Locking Connector for Sony Wireless Transmitters - Black (B&H # COB3W4BSN). For the same microphone wired for compatibility with a Sony wireless bodypack transmitter with a Hirose connector, you can use the Countryman B3 Omni Lavalier Mic, Standard Sensitivity, with Hirose 4-Pin Connector for Sony Wireless Transmitters - Black (B&H # COB3W4FF5BDS).

Q: 4. What's the sound quality compared to the sennheiser mke-2?

A: The MKE-2 out-performs the B3 in its sound quality, noise and SPL specs.

Q: 5. is it good for Rode Wireless GO ?

A: No this lavalier microphone comes with a 3.5mm locking pin made for Sennheiser wireless systems, a lavalier to use with the Rode Wireless Go needs to have a 3.5mm without a locking pin for a good connection without any noises.

Q: 6. Does the Tram TR50 mic really fit loosely in the clips, as some have reported? (I just want to make sure whether it's common to the design or if some just received a dud.)

A: Mine fits snuggly but it's still pretty new.

Q: 7. how long is the cable from mic to xlr connection? What is the XLR connection, male or female?

A: Countryman specs out the cable length as 5 feet.

Q: 8. anyone use this tram with the 3.5 gopro external connector?

A: thank you for your question. You are unable to use this tram with the go pro adapter as the go pro cannot provide proper voltage to power the microphone

Q: 9. HELLO WHATS MEAN (LS) OR (L4) CONNECTION TYPE?

A: The B3's cable terminates to a TA5F connector for direct connection to a Lectrosonics M185 or M187 wireless bodypack transmitter.

Q: 10. When the say Water Sports does it means that I could use it in a rainy scene in a film production? Thanks!

A: Yes, the B3 can be used for recording audio while filming a rainy scene.
