Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic, Low Sens, With Detachable Ta5f Connector For Lectrosonics Wireless Transmitters (black)

The black B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Low Sensitivity, with Detachable TA5F Connector for Lectrosonics Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.
Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a TA5F connector for direct connection to a Lectrosonics M185 or M187 wireless bodypack transmitter.
Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.
The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.
The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.
Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.
Low, head miking for theater.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. are there different cable length versions? stated lengths in the Q&A range from 13' to 6'. I would like the version with the longest possible cable.
A: The COS-11D wired for XLR is only available with our longest cable option, which is 3 meters (a little over 9 ft).
Q: 2. Does this have a mircodot connector? Is it compatible with DPA lavs?
A: This XLR adapter does not have a microdot connector, so it would not be compatible with DPA microphones. The appropriate adapter is the DPA Microphones DAD6001 Microdot to 3-Pin XLR Adapter with Belt Clip, BH #DPDAD6001BC
Q: 3. anyone use this tram with the 3.5 gopro external connector?
A: thank you for your question. You are unable to use this tram with the go pro adapter as the go pro cannot provide proper voltage to power the microphone
Q: 4. Does it interfere with the DJI Wireless Mic like the Rode Lavalier Go?
A: The Senal UTM-86-35H Lavalier Mic would not be recommended for use with the DJI Mic because of its locking connector, which has been known to block connection with the DJI Mic's transmitter units.
Q: 5. Will this work with Rodelink transmitter?
A: The Sanken COS-11D with the Sennheiser connector will fit the Rode transmitter. The Sanken is a fantastic lav as well. Good choice.
Q: 6. Will this work with any xlr mic input that provides 48v phantom power? eg Motu M2 ?
A: No, this microphone will not connect to a common XLR input, and it does not operate on 48v Phantom. We do offer a similar microphone that does come with a 48v phantom adapter (it is not going to pass full 48v to the mic, rather it reduces to the nominal voltage). It actually has better frequency response than the UTm-86. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/898932-REG/senal_cl6_3_5n_p_cl6_omni_lavalier_mic.html
Q: 7. I assume this should also work with an E6 TA4F microphone. Does anyone know for sure? I didn't know if each of them required different voltages. Thanks!
A: The first answer provided (Aug 14, 2018) seems incorrect. The E6, B6, and H6 microphones are electrically similar (Ref: https://countryman.com/microphone-wiring/). I would fully expect this unit to work with any of the three (with the TA4F connector).
Q: 8. Does the Tram TR50 mic really fit loosely in the clips, as some have reported? (I just want to make sure whether it's common to the design or if some just received a dud.)
A: Mine fits snuggly but it's still pretty new.
Q: 9. Is this version compatible with my Sennheiser ew 100 g3?
A: Yes, the Senal UTM-86-35H Lavalier Mic with 3.5mm Connector for Sennheiser & Senal Wireless Transmitters is compatible with the Sennheiser ew 100 ENG G3 Wireless Microphone.
Q: 10. Will this work with the Rode Wireless Go?
A: Yes. You just won't be able to utilize the locking feature. Alternatively, Rode now offers the Lav GO for the Wireless GO https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1496007-REG/rode_lavgo_lavalier_go_omnidirectional_lavalier.html
