The cocoa B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Very Low Sensitivity, with Detachable Hirose 4-Pin Connector for Audio-Technica Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a Hirose 4-pin connector for direct connection to an Audio-Technica ATW-T1801, ATW-T27, ATW-T31, ATW-T51, ATW-T201, ATW-T210, ATW-T210a, ATW-T310, or ATW-T310b wireless bodypack transmitter for use with 200 Series, 1100 Series, 1400 Series, 1800 Series, 2000 Series, 2000A Series, 3000 Series, or 3000A Series wireless systems.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Very low, mic near user's mouth.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. how long is the cable from mic to xlr connection? What is the XLR connection, male or female?

A: Countryman specs out the cable length as 5 feet.

Q: 2. Do B&H stock the W4 12mV/Pa version of the Countryman B3 mic?

A: The W4 sensitivity B3 are available for most wireless brand transmitters. These are the 12 mV/Pa versions. For hardwired versions these are labeled as P4 sensitivity. http://bhpho.to/29juBT7. For assistance in selecting the proper model, please contact a Sales Representative at 800-606-6969 or email audio@a href= http://bandh.com target= _blank bandh.com./a

Q: 3. I assume this should also work with an E6 TA4F microphone. Does anyone know for sure? I didn't know if each of them required different voltages. Thanks!

A: The first answer provided (Aug 14, 2018) seems incorrect. The E6, B6, and H6 microphones are electrically similar (Ref: https://countryman.com/microphone-wiring/). I would fully expect this unit to work with any of the three (with the TA4F connector).

Q: 4. hi, please what is the key difference between the low and the standard sensitivity?

A: Standard sensitivity is fine for most applications. Low sensitivity is best employed with trained or very powerful vocalists or public speakers as for opera, rock church and worship.

Q: 5. Will the 3.5mm locking also work for the Deity wireless systems?

A: Yes, this version of the Countryman B3 will work with the Deity wireless mic systems. The same mics that are compatible with Sennheiser ew series transmitters are also compatible with the Deity systems.

Q: 6. Can this mic be used on a Sony UTX-B03 transmitter?

A: That version wired for Sennheiser cannot be used with a Sony transmitter. Here's the same mic wired for Sony. B&H #COB3W4BSN.

Q: 7. Does this mic have the W4 or W5 sensitivity?

A: Sensitivity: W5 (red band): 4.0 mV/PascalStandard gain for most general uses. The B3 is available in two sensitivity response specifications. This version is optimized to accurately capture speech without noise and distortion.

Q: 8. Which TA5 connection will work for lectrosonics ZS-LRLT kit? There are 3 TA5 options but none list this specific body pack.

A: This Countryman B3 is compatible for use with the L Series LT transmitter included in the Lectrosonics ZS-LRLT kit. The TA5F (LS) notation for the connector shown in the description indicates that it is compatible.

Q: 9. Can I use the Countryman B3 connected to a sony uwp-d11?

A: Only if it was wired for Sony. Although the 3.5mm connector for the Sony looks like your standard jack that you see on Sennheiser systems, it is actually wired differently, and you cannot swap them for each other.

Q: 10. Do i need a source of power for this mike?

A: yes, you'll need to power the mic via a device capable of supplying phantom power
