The black B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Very Low Sensitivity, with Detachable TA5F Connector for Lectrosonics Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a TA5F connector for direct connection to a Lectrosonics M185 or M187 wireless bodypack transmitter.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Very low, mic near user's mouth.

Q: 1. A few reviews speak of the mic only working with G3/G4's when it is half plugged in. Is that due to buying the wrong 1/8 connector, ie for a differerent make of transmitter? Or is there a compatibility problem with the Cos11D and the Sennheiser EW range.

A: I see only one review posted for this mic where the customer noted a problem with connection to his Sennheiser transmitter. Without seeing both the mic and transmitter to evaluate, it is difficult to determine whether the issue may have been due to a defective mic or a problem with the transmitter. In general, the COS-11D is one of the most popular lavalier mics for various broadcast, film, and performance applications. This particular version of the COS-11D is wired for compatibility with Sennheiser transmitters such as the SK 100 G3 and G4 for the EW series wireless systems. Along with the manufacturer's warranty, B&H does have a 30-day policy for returns. So if you do decide to purchase and have any problem with the mic, let us know right away and we can set up an RMA to return the mic for exchange or refund. Just be sure to save all of the original manufacturer's packaging and don't register the warranty until you decide it's a keeper.

Q: 2. Does it interfere with the DJI Wireless Mic like the Rode Lavalier Go?

A: The Senal UTM-86-35H Lavalier Mic would not be recommended for use with the DJI Mic because of its locking connector, which has been known to block connection with the DJI Mic's transmitter units.

Q: 3. Is this version compatible with my Sennheiser ew 100 g3?

A: Yes, the Senal UTM-86-35H Lavalier Mic with 3.5mm Connector for Sennheiser & Senal Wireless Transmitters is compatible with the Sennheiser ew 100 ENG G3 Wireless Microphone.

Q: 4. Hi, I bought this mic, but the little windscreen/pop filter fell apart after a while of use. Where can I get a replacement?

A: The Auray WLF-018-3 Foam Windscreens for 1/8" Diameter Microphones - 3 Pack (B&H # AUWLF0183) is a pack of three compatible replacement windscreens for the Senal UTM-86-35H Lavalier Mic.

Q: 5. Does this locking connector Sennheiser work with the RODE GO PRO?

A: The locking connector for the Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Microphone with Normal Sensitivity & 3.5mm Locking Sennheiser Connector (with Accessories, Black), BH #SAC11WNSETRB, will work with a RODE Wireless GO II or the RODE wireless PRO.

Q: 6. will this work with a regular recorder like the Roland R05?

A: This model of the Sanken COS11D is wired specifically for use with the Sony UWP wireless system, transmitters. it is likely it will produce audio when connected to the Roland R05, however the locking connector prevents the mic jack from being properly seated. This would not be recommended for use other than intended. Sanken does not currently offer a model compatible with portable audio recorders. There are several mics that are designed for portable recorders and offer similar quality such as the Tram TR50 see B&H# TRTR50BNLSET or Countryman EMW. B&H # COMEMWSFF05B.

Q: 7. I bought this one. I have a question. If i connect sony transmitter this without phantom power, is it operating?

A: The COS-11D requires 3 to 10V of plug-in power, not phantom power. Phantom power is higher voltage of 12 to 48V. The Sony transmitter will supply the proper amount of plug-in power needed for the COS-11D.

Q: 8. Is it compatible with the Sennheiser FreePort lavalier kit?

A: Theoretically, yes. The Sennheiser Freeport wireless system is no longer available and as such cannot be tested with current products. Nonetheless, the wiring on the Freeport is the same as the EW wireless systems- and the UTM-86-35H is designed to work specifically with the Evolution Series wireless system. There should be no issue.

Q: 9. Will this work with the Rode Wireless Go?

A: Yes. You just won't be able to utilize the locking feature. Alternatively, Rode now offers the Lav GO for the Wireless GO https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1496007-REG/rode_lavgo_lavalier_go_omnidirectional_lavalier.html

Q: 10. will this work with an Audio Technica ATW T101 body pack?

A: While the Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Microphone with Normal Sensitivity & Servo-Bias TA5F Connector for Lectrosonics Transmitters is wired with a TA5F connection also found on microphones wired for Audio Technica, it is not recommended for use with transmitters other than Lectrosonics. The definitively compatible option would be BH #SAC11ANATT5W Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Microphone with Normal Sensitivity & TA5F Connector for Audio-Technica Transmitters.
