The cocoa B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Very Low Sensitivity, with Detachable 3-Pin XLRM Connector for Lectrosonics Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a 3-pin XLRM connector for direct connection to a Lectrosonics UH100, UH110, UH190, UH195, UH200, or UH200c wireless bodypack transmitter.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Very low, mic near user's mouth.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does it interfere with the DJI Wireless Mic like the Rode Lavalier Go?

A: The Senal UTM-86-35H Lavalier Mic would not be recommended for use with the DJI Mic because of its locking connector, which has been known to block connection with the DJI Mic's transmitter units.

Q: 2. I assume this should also work with an E6 TA4F microphone. Does anyone know for sure? I didn't know if each of them required different voltages. Thanks!

A: The first answer provided (Aug 14, 2018) seems incorrect. The E6, B6, and H6 microphones are electrically similar (Ref: https://countryman.com/microphone-wiring/). I would fully expect this unit to work with any of the three (with the TA4F connector).

Q: 3. Will this work with the Rode Wireless Go?

A: Yes. You just won't be able to utilize the locking feature. Alternatively, Rode now offers the Lav GO for the Wireless GO https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1496007-REG/rode_lavgo_lavalier_go_omnidirectional_lavalier.html

Q: 4. The 3 different kinds of Hirose connection are selectable (DS, SO, and SY), and it says "see Description", yet the Description says nothing about these designations. Could you clarify?

A: Sorry for the confusion. Once you select a given connector, the second paragraph in the "overview section" will specify which transmitters they are compatible with. SN = Sony WRT-805A and UWP Series Transmitters DS = Sony DWT-B01 SO = Sony WRT-28, WRT-820A, or WRT-860A SY = Sony WRT-8B, WRT-420, or WRT-822B I hope this helps

Q: 5. Will this mic work with Tentacle Track E?

A: Yes, this mic can be used as a replacement or upgrade for the lavalier mic that comes with the Tentacle Track E digital recordee.

Q: 6. is it good for Rode Wireless GO ?

A: No this lavalier microphone comes with a 3.5mm locking pin made for Sennheiser wireless systems, a lavalier to use with the Rode Wireless Go needs to have a 3.5mm without a locking pin for a good connection without any noises.

Q: 7. Is this mic compatible with Rode Newsshooter kit?. Please kindly adviseThanksChabi

A: Yes. The Senal mic (SEUTM8635H) is wired for Sennheiser transmitters, which are also wired the same way as Rode transmitters.

Q: 8. Would this works with a Zaxcom Trx900lt?

A: The correct one for your zaxcom is catalog number B3W4FF05BZX. If you can’t find it online, you can call in to order it over the phone.

Q: 9. How this lav compares to the Senal OLM2? thanks!

A: This mic is a little bit smaller than the ME2, and the performance is usually better. This Senal mic will usually be a better choice if you need to hide the microphone. I do think the ME2 mic is usually more durable though, and may be a better choice if that is a concern for your use. I would also recommend considering the Senal OLM-2 as an option, which is nearly identical to the ME-2: https://bhpho.to/300xXJB

Q: 10. Will this work with any xlr mic input that provides 48v phantom power? eg Motu M2 ?

A: No, this microphone will not connect to a common XLR input, and it does not operate on 48v Phantom. We do offer a similar microphone that does come with a 48v phantom adapter (it is not going to pass full 48v to the mic, rather it reduces to the nominal voltage). It actually has better frequency response than the UTm-86. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/898932-REG/senal_cl6_3_5n_p_cl6_omni_lavalier_mic.html
