The Pelican 1150 Case with Foam in black is an unbreakable, watertight, airtight, dustproof, chemical-resistant and corrosion proof hard case that can be used to carry and protect equipment from the elements. It is made from ultra high-impact structural copolymer for strength and durability. It has a 0.25" neoprene O-ring, and easy-open double-throw latches. It includes an automatic pressure equalization valve for quick equalization after changes in atmospheric pressure. You can carry it with the large handle which allows you to use two hands for heavy loads.

Some people state the SKB latch is slightly easier to disengage simply due to the position of the trigger release, while others feel the Pelican dual clutch release offers an additional level of security, but I do not think they are hard to open.

A: You can knock out the pins and remove the handle. You can unscrew the plate for the wheel assy and remove it. It should not compromise the seal. I have no idea why you would want to do this.

Q: 4. I have a case that is 18.9 x 13.6 x 7.6 that I would like to put in this case but before I buy it I see that the pelican's size is 18.43 x 14 x 7.62 ....is the difference between 18.43 and 18.9 going to be a problem?

A: I would ensure you measure at the shortest point inside the box. The box has a rounded corner on the outside which also transmits to the inside as well. You are working with a fairly small margin of error, plus you will need to account for hinges, latches, and the handle on your existing box. You may want to go up a size and purchase the foam insert to fill the excess space inside the box. Hope this helps.

A: not sure if newly designed or not. only know that when i got it, it felt so much smaller than when i laid out the measurements before i bought it. otherwise, it is a small and lovely case. just small.

The interior length of this case is stated here as 8.18 inches while it is stated as 8.29 inches at the Pelican website and on this video entitled Pelican Case 1150 - Show and Tell - TheSmokinApe the box clearly states 8.49 (see 1:30 mark on video). A: The Pelican 1120 Case with Foam (Orange) internal dimensions are 7.3 x 4.8 x 3.1". The LaCie Rugged USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 External Hard Drive dimensions are 5.3 x 3.4 x 1". Therefore, the Pelican 1120 hard case can only fit 2 of the hard drive seating flat, one on top of the other. The Pelican iM2050 Storm Case with Foam (Yellow) is the smallest size to fit more than 2 hard drive.
