The Listen Technologies LK-1 is a transceiver designed for two-way mobile communications. It utilizes Listen Technologies’ proprietary encryption technology to ensure security, and provides easy-to-use, push-to-talk implementation in the field for simple coordination and communication among two or more collaborators in any scenario.

User controls such as volume up, volume down, talk, power/status, and pairing help you in tailoring the unit to your particular, moment-to-moment needs. Though the unit can be used with a Listen Technologies headset—or standard smartphone earbuds—the LK-1 comes with an LA-401 Universal Ear Speaker, as well as a lanyard (useful for on-the-go scenarios), and an LA-365 rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The LK-1 is fully compliant with ADA standards for assistive listening.

A: Nope, sadly the Headphones are very noisy and audio includes a lot of hiss. But it's ok for the overall price.

Q: 9. Can I connect two base stations using optical fiber? Example: One base station inside the studio and the other one inside the OB van.

A: This is not possible.

A: The Listen Technologies ListenTALK GR16 Wireless Communication System (1920 to 1930 MHz), BH # LILKS9A1, operates in a frequency range of 1920 to 1930 MHz. Separate groups can be created. Think of the separate groups as separate channels.

I work as a commercial film producer and director. This system has become an essential part of my toolkit. Gone are the days of yelling back and forth, sending a PA to relay a message, or buying cheap walkie talkies. This is a great investment for anyone looking to have an intercom system- whether that be on a film set, football field, church, or theatre. Highly recommend!

Great solution for corporate, house of worship, and other venues that need stable communication. I was needing a replacement for our old wireless intercom but wasn't needing the 10,000 features. this was great and worked well inside and outside of our building using the extension panel.

The only company I have is that the headsets could be more comfortable. I wish that offered a pair of David Clarks.

used in an 18,000sq Ft. event space in San Francisco. I was completely blown away with its performance, range, and clarity. Wow factor!
I've been in production for 20 plus years and have used half a dozen different Com systems over the years. Wired systems always tend to have a ground hum or some interference issue. Older clear com systems, wired or wireless, same.
The wow factor for me with this Hollyland set up was that I couldn't find a note of interference in this event space.
Why is this amazing? This event space is inside a mall in the heart of downtown SF, has 8 wireless mics, over 20 High powered Cisco Meraki AP's, movable air walls, a hallway that wraps the space, and the control room is inside a soundproof booth enclosed in glass.
The brain and antenna booster were installed in the control room, on house power, and routed through the Black Lion power conditioner (not sure if this helped?)
When used with the antenna booster (extra $150), I walked every part of the venue from the coat check closet to the bathrooms (farthest points) and had no drop out or loss of audio fidelity.
I don't even use the mute button, I simply move the mouth piece up and down.
The belt packs on a full charge lasted over 8hours!
To compare this system to a Clear-Com system simply isn't fair. The Free-speak II beltpack is over $2,000! The brain unit is over $11k !
Pros:
-affordability
-ease of use- plug in and turn on and it works
-battery powered option for base station (batteries not included)
-belt packs have internal rechargeable batteries!
-amazing coverage and clarity
-well made and fairly comfortable
-expandable with another base station over short or long cat5 run
-soft pouch for each headset- and extra ear piece covers included!
Cons:
-having to hold the mute button to talk (I don't use this feature. I leave live and mute by lifting headset mic into the up position and talk by moving it back down)
-does not come with a carrying case
