The Vello Universal Softbox with Colored Gels Kit for Portable Flash (Small) spreads and diffuses the light from an on-camera flash in the direct flash position. It's lightweight, unobtrusive and easy to attach--ideal for any fast-moving shooting situations. It attaches to most on-camera shoe-mount flashes using the included touch-tab fasteners.

In addition, the FD-300 will also accept gel filters, and includes an assortment of six colored gels: blue, green, yellow, red, orange and purple. This allows the photographer to quickly and conveniently colorize the light output for a variety of special effect applications.

A: Yes it will, however, the velcro strips that come with the softbox are small, I used some larger strips from Lowes (Home Depot has as well). Use this on a Canon 430 EX II mounted on a Kacy pole to give soft light on outdoor flower photography. Once the velcro is on the flash it will not accept an Omni bounce diffuser or similar item without removing the velcro, so plan ahead if you want to switch diffusers in the future.

A: Yes, this kit will fit on both flashes.

A: The kit comes with hook and loop pieces. 3 of them will attach with adhesive to the flash body. If you do not want to attach teh adhesive pieces you can purchase the Vello Cinch Strap for Portable Flashes. It wraps around your flash and can be removed after use. See it attached here.

A: The Vello Universal Softbox will attach to a Sunpak 522 flash.

For what it is, this is a great accessory to have on the road. It's small, durable, and does an amazing job. I always pack it in the camera bag if I know I'm working in tight spaces. 5

Fit well, is quit large and do the job. I will use it when i cannot take the advantage of reflective surfaces for my main flash, and perhaps on a secondary flash, like a soft box. Wait for the item to be on sale, and you won't be deceived 5

I was surprised when I received this package. It looked like a middle sized envelope. But I opened it, put it together and attached it to my flash light. Very simple, very cheap, and it works beautifully for my use! 5

An impulse buy for Myself... one of those accessory suggestions. However My Figlia (Daughter) decided to try it while shooting a wedding that I assisted Her with. Realistically I have no chance of getting it back for She loved it then and loves it now. As a matter of fact, My Figlia has not taken it off of Her flash since She and I put it on (just to test if She would like it). Note: The velcro is not addiquate. I secured the softbox further with electrical tape (one of the several tools I carry within My photo-accessory bag. Though possibly a 4-star rating would be acceptable, the work-around was simple enough in comparison to the price of the produuct to warrant a full five stars. 5
