I used to use the Ilford Gold Fibre Silk, which seemed a favorite of many (which caused much distress when it was discontinued). I've printed the same photo on both papers to compare and find that the Legacy Platine one looks a little better. 5

This paper has a pleasant, unobtrusive luster surface, a wide color gamut, and excellent blacks. It has a nice heft; it feels quite substantial in the hand. No OBAs and none are needed to give properly-exposed images plenty of pop. 5

Epson Legacy Platine is among my favorites. It is as if I were printing back in my we darkroom days. I do a lot of B&W and this paper has amazing tonal range, deep blacks, and sparkling highlights. 5
