Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Are the wall mounting brackets and speaker wires included with these laudspeakers?

A: According to page 03 in the manual for the Bose FreeSpace 3, it includes flush mounts and surface mounts. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/lit_files/703689.pdf

Q: 2. Is the shaft solid or hollow?

A: No.. it's hollo, tube style. The bottom is capped to avoid damage to the open ended tube. There's a spring loaded release tap in the middle of the rod typical to most umbrellas indicates that it is hollow. For the price point it is rigid enough for the value. The solid center rods will have a butterfly nut to tighten onto the rod...if that makes sense to you. Hope that helps.

Q: 3. Is there a diffuser that fits this for use as a softbox?

A: Yes Angler Jumbo Umbrella Diffuser Cover (White, 60-65") B&H # ANUDCW65

Q: 4. The specs say that this unit will tilt to -90 deg. Is -90 deg straight down, or is it straight up?

A: Its only capable of tilting downward. (the front - where you see the Manfrotto logo in the picture - moves downward.) Great product -super heavy duty & rock solid.

Q: 5. Will this fit with the benro monopod?

A: Yes on pretty much any monopod

Q: 6. How accurate is the movement? Can it tilt/pan 0.1deg or 0.5deg?

A: The motions on the Manfrotto 400 geared head are not as refined and it might be a tad bit harder to nail down very slight adjustments. Your results may vary!

Q: 7. Can this umbrella safely handle heat from a 500 watt photo flood?

A: I do not know. I only use it with camera flash and a 600 w strobe with a standard standard model bulb I think 60 w

Q: 8. Does this induro work with my benro monopod?

A: Yes, it will work with your Benro monopod.

Q: 9. Will a Nikon D850 or a Nikon Z9 have limited range or are they not compatible at all?

A: Both units will work just fine make sure to have the right shutter cables when using each unit.

Q: 10. Does this work well as both a shoot through and reflective umbrella?

A: Yes it does. You just need to take off the black backing.

This is my 2nd time owning this head. I 1st bought it for 8x10 large format in 2000. It was great. I sold it after converting over to digital in 2009. Now I'm using it for my Nikon DSLR, a much smaller format. It adds sturdiness and control that just isn't in a ball head. I'll never part with it again.

Heavy duty indeed in all respects. Excellent control and precision. Excellent for celestial work. The controls are stiff but are loosening up nicely. Holds my d850 with the 200-400 2.8 as it were a cellphone. Love it! I've tried ball heads, hybrids, swivels, you name it, this is the 800 pound gorilla.

This geared head has cut down on the time it takes me to reposition my camera for studio work. I was previously using a ball head. Definitely money well spent!!!

Use it for my Sinar P2 mounted on a column stand. Cast in stone stability. For smaller camera you will need an l bracket for Portait mode. The flip mechanism is replaced with micro horizontal adjustments wich gives maximum precision for those moment when the client wants you to match this exact angle. Highly recommended for large format photography.
