The beige B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Low Sensitivity, with Detachable 6-Pin Hirose Connector for Samson Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a Hirose 6-pin connector for direct connection to a Samson TX3 (Black), UT5, or UT6 wireless bodypack transmitter.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Low, head miking for theater.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work on a RodeLink? It has the same connection, right?

A: The Countryman B3 Omnidirectional Lavalier Mic has a similar connection and does plug into the RodeLink, however it does move around and not lock in totally.

Q: 2. is it good for Rode Wireless GO ?

A: No this lavalier microphone comes with a 3.5mm locking pin made for Sennheiser wireless systems, a lavalier to use with the Rode Wireless Go needs to have a 3.5mm without a locking pin for a good connection without any noises.

Q: 3. What if I want to use that with the lastest tascam recorder. Can we change the pin?

A: Yes, tranquil, make this change, that microphone is very good.

Q: 4. To be used hidden on clothes for film, do i need Standard or low sensitivity?

A: Mic sensitivity is related to how much gain you have to give the mic. A low sensitive mic would need more gain sent to it to get a good audio level, and is used for live stage use, or in a loud environments. The real issue you have to deal with when hiding a mic on clothes is keeping the head of the mic away from fabric rubbing on it. I would suggest a standard gain mic, and then utilize mic mounting solutions, such as the Bubblebee Industries Invisible Lavalier Microphone Covers, BH #BUBBIILC30. or the Remote Audio Foamies Foam Mounts for Lavalier Microphones (Set of 12, White), BH #REUFOAMIEWH. These products will protect the mic, and when properly placed on the talent, can provide the best sound, minus the clothing rubbing.

Q: 5. Does it work with de UWP- D11?

A: Yes it does.

Q: 6. Will this work with the Sennheiser XSW-D PORTABLE LAVALIER SET?

A: Indeed it will.

Q: 7. Can it be plugged in Tascam DR-40 without any additional adapters ?

A: No additional adapters are needed to plug this into a DR-40.

Q: 8. Can I use the Countryman B3 connected to a Sennheiser AVX Wireless set? I would buy this instead of the more expensive MKE2

A: Yes, with the Sennheiser plug it will work. You'll have to adjust the sensitivity as it may be different from the mic you used on the transmitter before, but that's easy enough.

Q: 9. Any issues with using the Countryman B3 with the Zoom H1n?

A: This version of the Countryman B3 has a locking 3.5mm connector which is compatible for Sennheiser wireless transmitters and will not properly connect to the input on the Zoom H1n. B&H # COB3W4BZP / MFR # B3W4FF05BZP is the same Countryman B3 Omnidirectional Lavalier Mic with standard sensitivity and a non-locking 3.5mm connector in black. It is listed as compatible for Azden wireless transmitters and will also work with the Zoom H1n. The mic does draw a lot of power so it will drain the H1n's battery quicker than other lavalier mics. As another option, you may want to consider the Countryman EMW Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone in black, which is B&H # COMEMWSFF05B / MFR # MEMWSFF05BD3. The EMW requires less power and is designed for use with digital recorders.

Q: 10. Is this wired for a Lectrosonics UM100?

A: if it's for Lectro wirelesses then it had a TA5 connector which will plug into the transmitter.
