A: The Kramer VS-42UHD 4x2 4K UHD HDMI Matrix Switcher (B&H# KRVS42UHD) does offer a web interface for common needs such as routing choices, firmware upgrades, and EDID loading. Beyond that you would be using the serial and LAN (which the manufacturer calls Ethernet) ports for communication and programming using the Protocol 3000 instruction set. A: This will switches to the secondary input when the primary input is lost. It does not specific sync or image, but in either case the signal will be lost and require going to the other input.

A: From my experience you can not select but one input at a time. The product is outstanding, though. I am in to very high end audio and have high end audio components connected like Mark Levinson, Theta, Magnum Dynalab and notice no signal degrade.

A: I can't perceive any sound colorization or deterioration with this switcher. Perfect solution for me. Very quiet switching with no perceivable pop .
