Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will it fit a 36mm socket

A: The PSTND2 will support speakers with a 36mm pole socket.

Q: 2. Can the boom be swapped out with a larger collapsible boom?Something like this added? a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/757123-REG/Rode_MICRO_BOOMPOLE_Micro_Boompole_3_Section.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/757123-REG/Rode_MICRO_BOOMPOLE_Micro_Boompole_3_Section.html/a

A: The Rode Micro Boompole is designed for handheld applications. Unfortunately not directly compatible with this stand. We do carry boom arms that are compatible with a mic stand that will allow for longer reach than the arm included with the Pyle Stand.

Q: 3. What material are these stands made of ? Steel or aluminum ?

A: The Pyle Pro PSTND2 are aluminum stands.

Q: 4. How small is this closed up?

A: You can take the upper pole out of the base - this will make it 19 , but it will be in 2 pieces (top pole with the platform & the base with the folded up legs) A word of caution - I have 2 of these, and on each one, when you take the pole out of the base there is a small plastic bushing type thing that falls out! If you loose this piece then there is no way to tighten the upper pole into the base anymore... so be careful! It took 2 weeks to finally track down the part from PYLE and convince them that this is a design flaw. -- I hope this helps.

Q: 5. what is the circumference or radius of the tripod legs when fully extended?

A: The max radius leg spread on the Auray SS-25S Compact Height-Adjustable Steel Speaker Stand with Tripod Base is 14.5", but it is variable. You can bring the legs closer together for a smaller footprint and still be stable.

Q: 6. Can the tray be adjusted to a 90 degree angle?

A: Yes you can fix the tray on the Pyle PLPTS2 to a 90-degree angle to the stand.

Q: 7. What is the minimum collapsed (folded) length of this stand?

A: The minimum height of the Pyle Pro PSTND2 is 40".

Q: 8. Will this work with the Samson Expedition xp106w?

A: The Samson xp106w features a standard 1 3/8 speaker mount compatible with this and most other PA speaker stands.

Q: 9. What are the surface measurements of the top part of the stand?

A: 16 3/8 x 20 1/4

Q: 10. How much weight can this stand support?

A: Although not rated or tested by the manufacturer with any products other than laptops, I would be reluctant to recommend using this with any tip-able product over 10-12 lbs.

I looked on the internet for the best price as I always do; found this Pyle PA stand and it also held the most weight(rated to handle 100lbs) at B&H Photo, a great value and deal!!!

Light, stable and reasonable price. It fits with my Bose S1 perfectly. I've used for restaurant gigs several times and it worked very well. The screw's knob is plastic. It may not tough enough for heavy use- make sure to tighten gently.
