A: Standard DC 2.1mm but the Canon version has an additional plastic ring on the outside to lock it in place as a normal 2.1 will eventually bump out of place. The current Anton plate uses a very cheap and awful connector that is no better than a simple 2.1, the old version of this plate used the correct Canon version which held. Also note the camera is 8.4v minimum not 7.2, so if you're using a movcam or similar universal battery plate you need to adjust the voltage regulator higher or it will not power the cam.

A: Yes, the mounting screws should be included with this battery plate.

A: Unfortunately, the Bebob Micro Battery plate requires M3x16 screws and the position of the threads on the IDX Micro Battery Plate do not line up with the Tilta Rear Mounting Plate.

I am a religious researcher before I buy a new item. I looked for weeks to find a device that would let me hook my Canon 1DX Mk 2 to DTap so I could have longer video recording times. I saw this item on B&H and a similar item by Wooden Camera. But I couldn't find ANY reviews on either item...so I was worried they wouldn't work. I didn't want to risk a purchase of over $120 on an item that might not work. I haven't used any Wooden Camera items, but I know Anton Bauer has an amazing reputation. So I called B&H and talked to a salesman. He was friendly but honestly didn't know anything about the item either. He did tell me it would likely be shipped directly from the manufacturer. So I decided to take a chance and I ordered one. It came amazingly fast and I received it in two days. The dummy batter fits pretty snugly inside the camera, but with no problems. When you turn the camera on you do get the standard does this have the Canon logo question. Sometimes I have to turn it on and off a couple times until I can tell it no and power up anyway. Once its on, it works. I have tested it for up to 40 minutes so far, and have had no problems. It works exactly as I had hoped. The only issue I've had at all is when I use a four port Dtap connector so I can power multiple items. If the camera is on and plugged into one of those ports, if I plug in something else into one of the other ports it turns the camera off. I guess it has something to do with a change in the voltage or something. At any rate...if I have multiple items plugged in and running and dont unplug, or plug in, anything....the devices all work wonderfully. If you're considering buying this item...don't be afraid. It works exactly as you would expect it to. I'm very pleased. 5
