Yes, it's expensive, but it's made from really high quality leather. Real leather too! So many products out there these days say they are leather, but they are mostly some kind of polyurethane material that just feels cheap. Anyway, it's a great half case, and I love the rear screen cover too. It's turns my M10-P into a M10-D (but only when I want it to)! 5

I like the quality and snug fit on the M10. I also like the optional flap that covers the rear LCD, both to keep it clean as well as when shooting its less tempting to constantly engage the LCD if it is out of sight, out of mind. 5

I looked at many other cases offered on the Internet. I am very pleased to have chosen this one based on quality, appearance and function. There is one aspect to be aware of: the case must be removed to access the battery and SD card as well as use on a tripod. There is at least one alternat choice that replaces the bottom plate and opens to the battery and card. However, comments indicate difficulty opening that access and tripod security is at stake. The use of the back flap is optional. I prefer to keep it on to cover the back button controls and for the feel of holding. My use of this camera is intended for hand holding, manual operation using the four controls visible from the top of the camera. The cover flips down easily when desired. The case fits snuggly, hardly seeming ti require the recessed screw for the tripod socket. The height and thickness of the camera are reasonably increased. Although being called a half case in relation to a full one, three-quarters of the body are well protected. The feel of the leather is smooth and much nicer than the camera body. The primary reason for having this is protection of the beautiful camera body. Mine is the M10 Monochrom and at age 91 I could be prone to banging it aghast whatever. Well worth the price. 5
