A: Be sure that the outside diameter of the shade is 42mm. A typical 42mm filter is larger than 42mm at the outside diameter. I have B&W filters, and they are 2mm larger than the thread size. So if I need a cap for a 50mm filter, the cap has to be 52mm. I would recommend you measure the shade to be absolutely sure.
