I was on the fence about the ElGato Key Light and the GVM Edge light until I got both of them and compared the two. The GVM lights are way more accurate and cover a larger area. The circular design looks very nice when reflecting off the eyes and two of them look just as nice.
I am happy I chose the GVM Edge lights.

I needed something a little more robust than a ring light for my Zoom calls, and this was the perfect solution. I paired it with the
Manfrotto 003 Backlight Stand Base with Spigot, and it fits perfectly on a shelf behind my computer. Love it and recommend it!

It's a great light to clamp on your desk to look better on video calls. The quality of light is very pleasing too. Comes with a carry case too! It really steps up your video call game.

I recently purchased one of these lights to use in my office for additional lighting when recording videos or on video calls and I have to say this little light is so awesome. It is super compact and BRIGHT. and I mean BRIGHT. I was impressed by the amount of light this small light would put out. For the most part the light is soft enough for using as a key light for streaming or live video, but you may want to back it up just a little to make it softer.


The App is a little bit clunky to use since you have to disconnect your phone from your home or office wifi and connect it to the device wifi. I would rather see GVM have this device connect into your home or office wifi and be controlled through that instead. Personally, I dont use the WIFI feature so its not a big enough deal to knock any stars off the review.


For something small and bright this really is the best bang for your dollar.

I use a pair of NEEWER 21 (18 disk) lights in my studio, but they are too bright even on the lowest setting for close up work. I ordered a pair of these GVM 15 lights for video calls and virtual meetings. The brightness is in a range perfect for this purpose (about 24 inches from my face).

The exposed frosted disk surface is a little smaller than I would have preferred at just shy of 13 inches in diameter. The sweet spot would be a 16 diameter disk which is typical of beauty dishes, but these work for now. I am not using the app for remote control, just power them on with a wall switch and make adjustments manually. Hey, they are literally within arms reach.

The light also comes with a very impressive desk clamp connected to a pole mount. The clamp pole mount was one of the selling features for me; my thick desktop is 1 1/2 thick and has a 1 deep rounded cove edge. The lights are securely mounted and can be moved and the height adjusted.


I give these lights a big thumbs up!

GVM, if you read this, please cut the rigid packing foam so that it fits inside the carrying case as NEEWER does with their flapjack lights. That would provide much better protection during storage and transport.

Very compact. perfect combination for Zoom meetings and when streaming games. so bright and the table stand is perfect for my desk. very minimal footprint. minimalist i should say. will recommend this to my friends !

GVM is a brand I trust but some of their less expensive products can be a hit or miss. I saw this in the DealZone and happened to be in the market for a light exactly like this. Decided to go ahead and grab one and I was not disappointed. Really happy with it so far!

Very soft light. Color temp is good. CRI is fine. Desk mount is good although I had to mod slightly to fit a larger desk’s depth. Wish the light could be a little lower as a bottom starting point. But for the money it’s more than adequate. App is worthless.

I love the quality that this light gives. This is the single greatest invention in lighting for corporate interviews that I've seen since I got into the biz in 1991. The internal bounce lighting is ideal for video interviews. It creates a single light source rather than the other lights that have direct LED lighting. I can pack 3 of these, with stands and batteries into a suitcase and have a perfect interview kit with me. I also love the unique little table top stand.
