The black B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Very Low Sensitivity, with Detachable LEMO 1-Pin Connector for Sennheiser Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a LEMO 1-pin connector for direct connection to a Sennheiser BF 1083 wireless bodypack transmitter.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Very low, mic near user's mouth.

Q: 6. I want take input to my Zoom H1 - Handy Recorder. Does it's 3.5 mm does this?

A: Inputs:Built-In Mic: 90 XY stereo format, 120 dB SPL maximum, - to 39 dB input gainMic/Line In: 3.5 mm stereo jack, - to 39 dB input gain, 2 kOhms or higher impedance rating, plug-in power (2.5 V) supported.Outputs:3.5 mm combined line/headphone stereo jack

Q: 7. This lav seems to have a low sensitivity relative to rode, senn and tram offer g's yet the reviews are great. Does it mean it needs more gain to work well?

A: This mic is considered standard sensitivity, but is lower than some of it's competitors. If you have situations with louder speaking talent, or singing, it is recommended to use a low sensitivity microphone.

Q: 8. Will this work with the Sony ECM-W1M system?

A: Yes it will work with any lav that has Sony compatible connector. Not all 3.5mm connectors are wired the same way. So be sure to look to see if the lav is wired for Sony.

Q: 9. What does "optimized" mean? Is that just a reference to the locking feature? Will I have any issues plugging directly into a Sony a6500?

A: It means that the wiring on the connector is for Sennheiser and Senal wireless transmitters, and It will not work with your camera. You may want to consider the Saramonic SR-XLM1 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1353400-REG/saramonic_sr_xlm1_broadcast_quality_lav_omni_microphone.html

Q: 10. How would I use this microphone with a GoPro Hero5? I would like to keep it as simple as possible.

A: This DPA 4060 has a locking 3.5mm connector and it also requires 5 to 10V of plug-in power so I would not recommend it for use with the GoPro Hero5. The 4060 is really designed for use with a wireless transmitter, not for direct connection to a camera. Additionally, the 3.5mm GoPro mic adapter has a standard non-locking input so the mic will not be connected securely and it is very likely that the mic may require more voltage than the camera can supply. You definitely can use the DPA 4060 with a wireless mic system such as the Sennheiser EW 112P G4 Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System - A: 516 to 558 MHz (B&H # SEEW112PG4A) -- you can choose the frequency band. The wireless transmitter will supply the proper voltage for the mic and the wireless receiver will connect to the GoPro Pro 3.5mm Mic Adapter (B&H # GO35MA) without any problems. We also have other wireless mic systems that use the same type of locking connector and wiring as Sennheiser which would be compatible with with the 4060 mic. We can also help you to select a different mic if you do prefer to use a wired mic with the Hero5. Please contact us by phone or through live chat on the website for further assistance.
