The black B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Very Low Sens, with Detachable TA4F Connector for Shure Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to a Shure Axient AX100 wireless bodypack transmitter.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Very low, mic near uses's mouth

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what is the length of the cable?

A: Great mic, but really short cable length. Which I didn't even think to check before buying. Maybe 2 or 2.5 feet? Definitely get a longer XLR cord to go with it.

Q: 2. Which microdot to locking sennheiser and clean adapters are best for this lav, please? Does Shire make and sell them, for example?

A: Hi, this adapter will work - Deity Microphones DA35 Microdot to Locking 3.5mm Adapter BH #DEDA3 - https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1449020-REG/deity_microphones_da35_sennheiser_locking_3_5mm.html. Thank you for shopping at B&H!

Q: 3. Do they have this in a mini jack version, so I can connect it to my h1?

A: A Zoom H1 will not support the necessary power requirement for a Shure WL93. The WL93's condenser element requires 5+Vdc to operate whereas the Zoom H1's powered 3.5mm input provides only 2.5 volts of plug-in power. To ensure compatibility with your H1, you will need to select another plug-in mic that either has a condenser or MEMS style element with a lower power requirement or has a dynamic element requiring no power.

Q: 4. What is the length of the wire?

A: The wire is about 5 feet long.

Q: 5. how do you use this mic when recording to say a tascam 70d???

A: The Shure WL93-6 features a 4 pin female connector (TA4F) designed for connection to a Shure wireless system transmitter only. This version will not connect to a recorder such as the DR-70D. The Shure SM93 is the same microphone and ships with an XLR preamp that can be powered by a recorder that offers XLR mic inputs such as the Tascam unit.

Q: 6. Where do you place this on the body for a clergy. Is lav mic better?

A: Lavalier microphones such as the Shure WL93 Subminiature Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with 4' Cable and TA4F Connector are commonly mounted to the subject's chest or lapel, either under or over fabric. They can be concealed with a variety of lav concealers, such as BH #BUBBIILCM30.

Q: 7. Is the 3.5mm connector right angle?Or is it a regular one?I'm asking this because the mic plug is on the right side of my recorder. Thanks

A: This is a straight cable and connector.

Q: 8. Is there an adapter for Sennheiser EK 100?

A: The Sennheiser EK 100 is a wireless receiver. The SK 100 is a wireless transmitter. This particular Senal UEM-155-TA4F-BE Omni Earset Microphone has a TA4F connector for use with transmitters from Shure. Instead of an adapter, there is a Senal UEM-155-35H-BE Omni Earset Microphone with 3.5mm Locking Connector for Sennheiser Transmitters (B&H # SEUE15535HBE).

Q: 9. Will it work with the rode link?

A: Yes it will.

Q: 10. Will this 6 foot mic work with the the SM93 XLR preamp?

A: Yes, it will. If you already have the Shure 90A4360 preamp, you can use any WL93 with in a wired application. If you do not yet have the preamp, you have two options based on what cable length you need. If you need 6' of cable, you will have to purchase the mic and preamp separately, but if you only need 4' of cable you can simply purchase the SM93 which already includes both the mic and the preamp.
