The Tokina 85mm T1.5 Cinema Vista Prime Lens with an E mount and focus scales marked in feet provides an image circle that more than covers full-frame sensors and is designed to provide sharp images even when recording images at 8K resolution. This 85mm focal length lens shares the same form factor, lens gear position, focus rotation, and front barrel diameter as the other Tokina Cinema Vista prime lenses. This makes on-set lens changes a fast and efficient operation. It features a maximum T stop of 1.5 that is useful when shooting in low-light situations or when you want to capture that exceedingly shallow depth of field look.

The 9-bladed iris provides round, out of focus highlights for a natural-looking bokeh. The lens barrel features approximately 300° of rotation from close focus to infinity; this gives you a high degree of precision when pulling focus. The lens is designed to minimize focus breathing and features geared manual focus and iris rings. Markings on both sides of the lens barrel make it readable from either side of the camera. The lens features an E mount and the front of the lens is 114mm in diameter with a built-in 1/4"-20 support foot that helps support the lens with the aid of an optional rod-mounted lens support (not included).

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Autofocus?

A: The ZEISS Nano Prime 24mm T1.5 Cine Lens (Sony E, Feet) provide eXtended lens data but have no autofocus.

Q: 2. What does "fully luminous" mean?

A: For the Sigma 85mm T1.5 Fully Luminous FF High-Speed Prime (EF Mount, Feet), "Fully Luminous" refers to the markers on the lens being glow in the dark so you can view them in low light.

Q: 3. There is no electronic EF focus and aperture control option, correct? This would work well with RED cameras...

A: That is correct, this is a Cinema Lens that requires you to control the focus and aperture on the lens itself. If you have a RED camera with an EF mount this lens will work great with it.

Q: 4. Will these workon the MAVO LF? It is full frame but 6k not 8k

A: At this time we do not carry Kinefinty cameras at this time, you will want to check with them regarding exact compatibility. That being said we can tell you that this lens covers a full frame sensor at up to an 8K image. If the camera has an EF mount we believe that it should work.

Q: 5. Will this really cover Full-Frame sensors? Key features states that is does and that it is suitable for 8K Image Capture. I would be using it on my Red Monstro VV & my Red V-Raptor 8K VV Sensors.

A: Yes. 100% the following unit accommodate all you 8k full frame needs.

Q: 6. Is there lens data /I support?

A: The Tokina T1.5 Cinema Vista 5-Lens Kit B (ARRI PL) lenses do not have any communication with the camera body.

Q: 7. Will there be a PL version T1.5? Lower cost and lighter than Supreme Prime. Kind of like Sigma did, but color matched with CP.3

A: No, the ZEISS Nano Prime lenses will never be in PL or LPL mount. These lenses are meant to match the Supreme primes and are not "clinical," like the CP.3's.

Q: 8. What is the difference between this "Vista Cinema Prime" versus the "Vista One" versions of the same lens?

A: Vista prime are involved in a more sophisticated quality control standard Vista Prime lenses will have the front element, and mechanical parts changed to Vista One single-coated elements and premium space grey mechanical parts. The lenses are calibrated to factory specifications and checked for optimal performance.

Q: 9. The Zoom RIng at wider end feels to be a bit tight and also makes some noise... (The front element physically moves- with in the housing though). Is this normal? or do i have to send it for servicing?

A: We are sorry for any issues you are facing. For help with your specific order please email us directly at cs@bhphoto.com.

Q: 10. Does this lens come in a EF mount?

A: Yes, it does. Tokina Cinema Vista 16-28mm II T3 Wide-Angle Zoom Lens (EF Mount, Focus Scale in Feet) B&H # TOKPC1016EF
