ARRI's Top Plate with Rod Support for Canon EOS C700 is designed for use in low-mode setups. This plate adds 15mm LWS rod support to the top of your camera, leaving the bottom of the camera unencumbered and suited for low-mode Steadicam and tabletop setups. The screw-on Top Plate also features multiple 3/8"-16 and 1/4"-20 accessory mounts and a tape hook for measuring focus distances.

A: According to Arri this part is designed to be used with the ARRI Cine Plate for Canon C300 Mark II BH #ARCPC3002. According to Arri ideally, you will need to use both plate together in order to mount to a tripod directly. The C200 plate does have 1 x 3/8” and 1 x ¼-20” receiving holes but they don’t know if the spacing to your tripod plate will be compatible. If you are looking for a top plate for the Canon EOS C70, look no further. This thing is a rock. Using the two screws deal to secure to the top is, in my own words, legit. The plate feels super secure, does not block any essential functions, and the metal doesn't bleed like Tilta's. This was a must for me since I travel with the C70. In humid climates, Tilta's coating starts coming off and gets caked in sweaty hands. Not an issue here. I recommend this product. 5

It's not often a camera top plate costs less than an arm and a leg. This does the simple job of adding 1/4-20 and 3/8 threads, along with two shoe mounts on the side, and you can decide where you want to attach the C70 top handle. I'm sure it works even better with third party top handles but I prefer to use the stock handle and am glad to have found this Tilta plate. 5

I like having a handle on a nato rail and the lcd mounted on Small Rig’s C200 monitor stand. This top plate allows this configuration - works really well. 5

I've looked at all other top plates. This one not only looks sleek to impress my clients, but on the C70, this lets me add a Hdmi Transmitter and Rode Audio reciever while still rocking a shotgun mic. Top handle hand space is still not compromised. I can't imagine loving it anymore then I do. 5

The C70 is a great camera, but like any camera, you need to mount a microphone and/or wireless receiver. With no viewfinder, an external monitor sure is nice, too. This has the right points to do all of that without having to put an entire cage on the camera. I have a Wooden Camera handle that has the grooves at the mount point, for more mounting options. The angled cold shoe is great for using the stock C70 mic mount, too, because it places it lower. 5
