Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this vignette on a Rokinon 12mm lens on a Sony a6500 camera?

A: It has not been tested. But there is a good chance that it will vignette using that ring and P holder.

Q: 2. what is the difference between p and a filter series?

A: P is a larger size, better for wide lenses and lenses with large filter sizes.

Q: 3. My Sony E-Mount lens is 49.5 mm diameter. Does Cokin make a lens adaptor ring to fit?

A: There is no filter thread that is 49.5mm. It is either 49mm or 40.5mm. Click on the links below to view the rings; https://bhpho.to/2C7w4yz https://bhpho.to/2ZBsUv8

Q: 4. I have the Cokin P series with a different brand (K&F Concept) 58mm adapter however it does not fit my Nikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II AF-S DX lens. These were a birthday gift and I am not sure what size to purchase to make my filter system work. Please advise if this will fit my lens.

A: If you have the Cokin P series filter holder, then I would recommend the Cokin P adapter ring. If you have lenses that have 58mm filter threads, then the Cokin P Series 58mm Adapter Ring (P458) would be the correct accessory to connect your lens to the filter holder you own. However, do note, the Nikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II AF-S DX lens you list above has 52mm filter threads, not 58mm filter threads, and the above would not be correct for the lens you indicate. You would need the Cokin P Series 52mm Adapter Ring (P452), B&H # COARP52, for the Nikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II AF-S DX lens.

Q: 5. Can i put in lee filters with 100-150mm or nisi filters

A: Unfortunately, this holder cannot accept Lee or Nisi filters in the 100 x 150mm size.

Q: 6. Will this adapter work with a Formatt Hitech 85mm holder?

A: Yes, Cokin P Adapter Rings may be used with the Hitech 85mm Aluminum Modular Filter Holder.

Q: 7. The Formatt Hitech 85mm rectangular filters say they are compatible with this specific product, however, this product's specs say it only holds 84mm rectangular filters. Is the discrepancy important? What gives?

A: The Formatt Hitech 85mm rectangular filters will fit in the Cokin 84mm filter holder. There is enough wiggle room. Besides, what is a silly millimeter between competitors?

Q: 8. I have a Nikon Coolpix L320 and I'm looking for a 67mm lense adapter. The lense is a vivitar HD4 MC AF HIGH DEFINITION 2.2X TELEPHOTO CONVERTER. Can I use any 67mm lense adapter. I'm new to photography, I'm learning all I can. Any recommendations on the 67mm lense adapter.

A: The adapter is for P series filters only. Not for adding lens etc.

Q: 9. 82 mm filter need for Tamon 24-70 lens and 72 mm filter for nikon 300 mm lens, which Cokin adapter is need for square graduated nd filter?

A: Correct on the 82mm adapter ring for your Tamron 24-70 but your Nikon 300mm needs not a 72mm adapter but a 77mm one. Once you have your adapter ring(s), you need a filter holder which is attached/held by the ring adapter. For Cokin P, the filter holder is right here: https://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/459608-REG/Cokin_CBP400A_P_Series_Filter.html/pageID/accessory target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/459608-REG/Cokin_CBP400A_P_Series_Filter.html/pageID/accessory/a Hope that helps.

Q: 10. Can you use this with a step down ring for a 72mm lens thread?

A: Yes, you will also need a step up ring from 72-82. Click the link below to view; https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/809647-REG/Sensei_sur7282_72_82mm_Step_Up_Ring.html
