Kodak Professional T-Max 100 is a medium-speed panchromatic black and white negative film characterized by an extremely fine grain structure along with high sharpness and resolving power. By utilizing a T-GRAIN emulsion, the grain pattern resembles a patterned, tabular form that maintains effective film speed while reducing the appearance of grain during enlarging or scanning. This film has a nominal sensitivity of ISO 100/21° and also features a wide exposure latitude, broad tonal range, and responds well to push development and zone system development changes.

In addition to processing as a negative in standard black and white chemistry, T-Max 100 is also suitable for reversal processing using the T-Max 100 Direct Positive Film Developing Outfit for creating copy and duplicate work.

This item is one box of 10 sheets of 4 x 5" film.

Q: 1. When is the expiration date of this film?

A: The expiration date can generally be from 6 months to 1 year from now.

Q: 2. Can you please tell me what the expiry date is? Also, will the package go through XRay at customs and will this be OK for the film? I am planning to buy this from Australia

A: B&H buys and sells film in bulk. In general we regularly maintain fresh film stock. All of our film is at least 6 months from expiration (typically much longer). Anytime film stock is less than 6 months from expiration we sell it in a separate section and label it as short-dated film and also price it with a slight discount (again due to the volumes we sell this rarely occurs). Unfortunately we do not have access to our inventory to hand inspect the expiration date of any of our films prior to purchase. We do not take any special precautions when shipping film (it is worth noting that the film manufacturers do not have any special shipping precautions when delivering to us we ship under the same conditions as they do). UPS has advised us that the scanners they use during transit are not strong enough to damage any photographic or x-ray sensitive products during shipping. We recommend using them as your carrier and if you are concerned about shipping conditions, can always opt to ship with Next Day or 2nd Day options so as to minimize the amount of time the film sits in transit.

Q: 3. Which developer would be preferable for Tmax 100 shot at box speed. Kodak HC110 or R09 or any other?

A: hc110 is a good developer but i still feel the best fine grain compensation developer is still edwal fg7 it is still made look it up on the internet some places still sell it best developer i have ever used

Q: 4. Can I use the c-41 on this film?

A: No this is not a C41 film . You need to develop with black and white chemicals like D76.

Q: 5. How many 36 frames rolls can this 100 feet roll can yield? Thanks.

A: You could get about twenty 36 exposure rolls of film from a 100' roll of bulk film.

Q: 7. Where can I get this film developed?

A: It depends on where you live. I live in Jacksonville, Fl and I can get this developed 2 different ways. I have a friend that lives in Gainesville that I give to him to get it developed for me. There is another place here in Jacksonville Beach that develops them but it's a little more pricy. If you don't live in either of these places, your best bet would be to look up places on the internet that develops 120 film in your area. Not many places develop these types of films these days. Hope this helps.

Q: 8. Can you use this film for a Holga 120N camera?

A: Yes, works great in a Holga; the 400 speed is better for a variety of light conditions. 100 speed needs a lot more sun especially in the Holga.

Q: 9. Can I use the c-41 on this film?

A: No. There were some B&W films made years ago that could be processed with C-41, but not anymore.

Take a lot of portraits, but this works great for landscapes, architecture, and so on. Have heard to many bad stories about other brands so I don't even look at them. Long live Kodak, please bring back Kodachrome.

Best all around film for fine grain and sharpness.

Outstanding film. Virtually grainless and beautiful in Xtol and other developers, especially D76. I have used this film for many years and it has become a favorite, especially once I figured out how to tame it. Do not overdevelop!

Beautiful fine-grain / no grain negatives, works well with Kodak T-max developer at about the same conditions as T-max roll film. Priced at $2.70 per sheet, careful selection and preparation is needed before squeezing the shutter.
