Even Canon can't give you an approximate answer & only experience will tell. The print quality of these printers are 'out of this world' so even if prints are a bit pricey it pays off by far.

Printing a photo from a parade with a large red balloon will more quickly exhaust the magenta ink. Using chroma optimizer on all prints will more quickly exhaust that cartridge. Different papers require different amounts of ink to get an accurate image. As you can see, there's no one good answer to that question. If the choices you've given, 50 would be the best answer but it could be 100. It would not be 500.

A: Obviously the answer will vary with the size of the prints. With my Prixma Pro 10 I get excellent longevity from the ink but I primarily print in the 13X19 format. The blacks will run low first so I always keep a few extra of those in stock. I have never actually counted but I do remember when I first got the printer I was surprised how long the ink lasted. Sorry for not being more specific but I never counted the prints per ink cannister but I was impressed with the longevity.
