Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. hi. the power supply is it for europe? i need it for 240v not 120v

A: The power supply is dual voltage, so it will work in Europe.

Q: 2. The default sensitivity is -30. Is it recommended to put it higher to -15 or is -30 good? I am recording educational lectures in a studio space.

A: I would recommend doing a test recording with the mic starting off with the default sensitivity setting. Experiment with the settings as well as the positioning of the mic to find the combination that works best for you. When you do the test recordings, you can say which setting you are using for the sensitivity level and where the mic is placed. Just speak and record, and that way you can easily listen back and compare the audio clips without having to remember how everything was set up.

Q: 3. Can the receiver have 2 mics connected to it? Like 1 handheld and 1 lapel mic?

A: No. This receiver can only be used to connect to one transmitter at a time.

Q: 4. I got the dual person. It came with two XS Wireless packs. They both had the same frequency. How to chance one to a different frequency?

A: Changing frequency on the Sennheiser XSW 1 DUAL 2-Person Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System Kit can be initiated on the EM-XSW 1 Dual-Channel Stationary Receiver. First, press the Up/Down button on the specific receiver module you would like to change and select "Scan". Press the "Set" button next to activate this function, where the receiver will select an open channel. Next, power on your correlating transmitter and press the "Sync" button until the receiver's display flashes "SYNC". Finally, press the "Sync" button on the receiver to transfer the selected frequency to the transmitter. This process is described in further detail on page 11 of the system manual linked here: https://bhpho.to/3qHYANh

Q: 5. Can this microphone be paired with any other receivers for use in field/documentary work?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser SK-XSW-A Bodypack Transmitter that is included with the Sennheiser XSW 1-ME2 UHF Lavalier Microphone Set (A: 548 to 572 MHz) can also be used with the Sennheiser EM-XSW 2 True Diversity Receiver with External Antennas - A: 548 to 572 MHz (B&H # SEEMXSW2A) or the Sennheiser EM-XSW 1 Dual-Channel Stationary Receiver with Internal Antennas - A: 548 to 572 MHz (B&H # SEEMXSW1DU). The actual Sennheiser ME 2-II Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with Locking 3.5mm Connector can be used any Sennheiser wireless transmitter that accepts a locking 3.5mm connector as well as wireless transmitters from other manufacturers that use the same type of locking connector and the same internal wiring configuration.

Q: 6. Can I add handheld microphones?

A: This is a single channel receiver, you can use a handheld with it as long as it's made by Sennheiser and it runs in the same frequency, however you wont be able to use both the lavalier and handheld at the same time.

Q: 7. Does this come with a belt clip

A: Yes, the Sennheiser SK-XSW-A Bodypack Transmitter within the Sennheiser XSW2-CI1 Rackmount Wireless Earset Microphone System Kit includes an attached belt clip.

Q: 8. with this mic work with my Canon EOS Rebel T4I which I know is cranky and will not work with every mic?

A: It will, and that little mic/line switch in the back in the important thing. Typically you would need to attenuate a line level to mic, but with this system you don't have to, just flip the switch to Mic.

Q: 9. Can i use the Sennheiser EK 300 IEM G3 Wireless Bodypack Receiver (A: 516 to 558 MHz) if I tune to identical channels i.e. 548-558mhz I want to use the wireless receiver instead of the included wired one for certain location sound applications.

A: The Sennheiser EK300 G3 is not compatible with the XSW system components.

Q: 10. I have a frequency problem ?

A: Please e-mail us: askbh@bandh.com

For hassle free, simple and reliable sound, this system is perfect.
I plug the receiver into a portable battery, and use a Bose S1Pro speaker for a 100% mobile, battery powered system.

This was our first step up past $40 units, we kept fighting with them until the point of failure was to much. We purchased 3 of these, They have been great, even with no line of sight, through two walls with metal studs they have not lost connection. Sound quality has been more than we could have hoped for.
