The SmallHD Mounting Cage for 703 UltraBright Monitor includes two metal brackets that attach to the monitor and provide mounting points for accessories. The brackets mount on the left and right sides of the monitor and provide 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads for accessories. They also feature slots for attaching the optional dedicated sun hood for this monitor, which secures by magnetic mini-rods into these slots. Four screws are included for attaching the cage to the monitor.

A: Not that we are aware of. A horizontal line indicator is not listed as a feature of this monitor.

Q: 4. How much does the (SmallHD703 Ultra Bright) gorilla glass reflects?

A: The LCD panel has a layer of optically-bonded Gorilla Glass, a process ensures that blacks are not washed out and that reflections are reduced.

I prefer this version of the hood that includes a cage with multiple 1/4-20 mounting holes. Much improved designed over the one for the 702 which would easily break at the plastic mounts. 5

This is overall a fantastic monitor. I found it to be totally usable outdoors without a sunhood - just don't expect it to compete with the glare from direct sun hitting the screen. It's worth noting that this monitor is significantly heavier than the 702 Bright and not as ideal for smaller setups. 5

The price was bit much but since it's a tool I use every time I shoot it's worth the investment for top quality gear. This monitor is so much brighter than any other monitor I have ever used. I think this is my 4th smallhd monitor and by far it's the best. Evenin bright sunlight I could see everything- wow! 5

The screen on the 702 Touch has a slightly wider gamut and I like the touch screen but switched this for 2 reason. More power efficient and can show 2 inputs at once. For setting up and checking on multiple cameras this has been amazing. Set up a button for SDI 1 and SDI 2 and multi view. Then I can quickly jump to one input or another or both. Makes setting up an interview easy and also great for just keeping an eye on multiple cameras. 5
