Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the length of the 3/4" part of the strap? Thank you.

A: Sigma NS-41 Camera Strap leather strap is 29.5'' long.

Q: 2. What is the difference between this, mfr no. 5051, and the "non-shoulder" version, mfr no. 5001?

A: The "Shoulder Version" is extremely slip resistant through the implementation of an innovative material combination of Finnish elk leather on the outside and Mongolian yak leather on the inside. The "Non Shoulder Version" does not have the Mongolian yak leather on the inside.

Q: 3. does the strap have to be attached to the one screw point on the bottom of the camera or can it be attached to where the manufacture neck strap attaches?

A: You can attach the strap to the 1/4 thread on the bottom given you put the adapter. the strap comes without the adapter but it be wise not to do it.

Q: 4. Can you purchase additional sections that connect to the camera?

A: You can purchase additional camera connectors to switch out cameras. The strap will only connect to two cameras at a time though.

Q: 5. Anyone understand the positioning of padding on the top of the strap. When adjusted to my hand, it sits half on half off. For a 400 gram compact camera pad just gets in way. Is there an unpadded wrist strap you recommend?

A: For a lightweight camera this Peak Design is a great wrist strap that has a similar anchor quick release system as the Small Rig and it is not padded. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1352295-REG/peak_design_cf_bl_3_cuff_quick_connecting_camera_wrist.html

Q: 6. Does the strap have Sigma embroidered on it?

A: The Sigma Strap for fp Camera does not have Sigma embroidered on it, but there is a little cloth tag on the leather part that says Sigma.

Q: 7. How long is is?

A: The Sigma Strap for fp Camera is approxemelty 32 inches.

Q: 8. Does the camera work well with just one camera attached?

A: Yes you can still just use one camera on this harness.

Q: 9. I received mine yesterday. In the description, it says that it is a "sliding camera strap". Is the camera supposed to be able to slide on the strap to eye level so that you don't have to remove the camera to use it? Or is it not supposed to slide that high? If not, what is the point of the strap being able to slide at all?

A: I am sorry that you are having problems with the strap. If you watch the demo video on this page, around 2 minutes and 20 seconds in, he demos the dual strap sliding it up to his eye.

Q: 10. The strap holds the heavy camera at one point only. Will the camera strong enough to have all the weight at one point only?

A: According to the manufacturer it was tested to hold over 100kg or 220lbs. If you have a large lens attached you might want to attach the strap to the lens and not the camera strap eyelets.

I really appreciate this strap. It is a little wider than the original strap, making it a little more comfortable. I also like that it is plain black. I prefer to not look like a walking billboard for the camera company that I'm shooting with. I like that the strap has silicone on one side and is smooth on the other. This allows you to shoot with it around your neck without the silicone for a little more comfort. You can also turn the silicone side down if you are carrying over a shoulder or in cross-body to get a little more security to keep the camera positioned where you want it. I also like the quick releases near the bayonets to allow you to take the strap off if you want to work with a tripod or shoot without feeling like the strap is in the way.

I'm really enjoying this camera strap. I love the way one side of the strap allows for easy sliding of the camera up and down and the flip side of the strap has grips that help hold the camera in place, especially when walking. The length is readily adjustable and the material and fittings are sturdy. I would buy it again.

This is the best option for people who seek a minimal Komodo setup. These attach to the GDU Timmy Tibs nicely. The 360-degree swivel design is great to make the camera strap provide another point of contact for handheld shooting.

These are essential for the SIGMA FP. They make having straps and any other accessories attach so easy. It swivels as well so it won't come unscrewed.

Good strength strap. Carrying a big camera with a heavy lens makes this strap great. It doesn't cut into you and is more comfortable than some other brands. The quick release clips are strong and can't accidently come apart.
