The tan B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Standard Sensitivity, with Detachable Microdot Connector for Sennheiser Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a Microdot connector for direct connection to a Sennheiser SK 2012 wireless bodypack transmitter.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Standard, for most uses.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. If this is used with a 32-bit recorder such as the tascam x8 or zoom f6, will the clipping be fixable in post?

A: It is very difficult to clip a 32-bit converter, but it is still possible to overload a mic capsule if you surpass the SPL it is designed for. A 32-bit recorder won't help with this, and if you somehow do clip the ADC on the way in it won't help with that either, but it does make clipping extremely unlikely due to the amount of headroom it gives you. If you are routinely running into problems with clipping during recording, or if there is no one on hand to adjust levels on the fly, a 32-bit recorder can be a game changer.

Q: 2. Can the receiver unit receive two simultaneous channels or can it only receive from one transmitter at a time?

A: No it can’t. In the features it clearly says: “Multi-pairing lets you quickly switch between multiple transmitters linked to one receiver (note that only one transmitter can broadcast to one receiver at a time)”

Q: 3. Is there a gain control?

A: No, there is no gain control. These are meant to be a cable replacement only. For a unit with gain control, here's a similar 2.4ghz option BH #RORODLNKFM.

Q: 4. Will this work with GoPro Hero 10 and Media Mod

A: You would need the Saramonic B2 [B&H # SABLINK500B2] for that compatibility.

Q: 5. does the xlr transmitter work with the rode-NTG 2 ?

A: No, the XLR is the receiver.

Q: 6. Is there a converter from lemo to 3.5mm ?

A: No, B&H does not offer an adapter to convert the 3-pin LEMO connector to 3.5mm. As another option, you may want to consider using the Microdot version of the Shure TwinPlex TL48 which is the Shure TwinPlex TL48 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone - Microdot, Tan (B&H # SHTL48TOMDOT). This would allow you to use the TL48 mic with a variety of Microdot adapters to enable compatibility with different wireless microphone transmitters. For 3.5mm, you could use the Deity Microphones DA35 Microdot to Locking 3.5mm Adapter - Black (B&H # DEDA35) and for 3-pin LEMO, you can use the Deity Microphones DA3L Microdot to 3-Pin LEMO Adapter (B&H # DEKSMDTDA3L).

Q: 7. Can transmitter be connected via adapters to XLR or 1/8?

A: Yes ir csn. This is also availible as an XLR set here: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1444574-REG/sennheiser_xsw_d_xlr_base_set_xlr_base_set_xsw_d.html

Q: 8. Can I use this model with Canon XA40 Professional UHD 4K Camcorder?

A: Yes your camera has a 3.5mm mic input where you can connect the Sennheiser XSW into with the 3.5mm cable included with this wireless mic system. yes can use this model with your Canon any question fell free to Video Chat Pro Audio Thank you.

Q: 9. Will this USB C unit work with older Mac laptops with a USB C to USB A adapter?

A: On the webpage, the features list that this Saramonic Blink lists USB C ports only, so older USB is not suported:: Other Features Lightweight, ultracompact housings Slim plug-in receiver won't interfere with the operation of a gimbal USB Type-C male connector plugs directly into your device's USB Type-C port Works with Android devices and Mac/Windows computers equipped with USB Type-C ports https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1486349-REG/saramonic_blink500b6_blink_500_b6_micro_wireless.html

Q: 10. Does this kit include the hotshoe mount adapter to mount the receiver to the hotshoe of the camera?

A: No it doesn’t. The receiver on this particular kit is with the XLR male which is meant to be plugged into an XLR source such as mixing boards or even cameras with an XLR input. Since it’s plugged into the XLR, a separate mounting isn’t needed not possible. There are various other camera kits with a mini output which do come with shoe mount adapters.

I considered buying a cheaper, newer, less tested product. I'm glad I didn't. These have never failed on me.

I needed this for an ENG run and gun shoot as opposed to a rack mounted setup. I'll probably use it in the context of the latter, as it'll give a solid 200'+ range.

At first I experienced something I never have with a Sennheiser product, a crazy hiss/glitch sound ever so often! I was freaking out thinking this mic didn't have the range all my others did, but it turns out something in the ballroom I was shooting in happened to be on the same frequency. I've been shooting for 17 years and coincidentally my first time using this lav system is the first time this has happened to me. Between presenters I switched frequencies and of course everything became crystal clear. Everything has been 5/5 stars since, so no complaints here. I advise everyone to test their systems in every new situation they record in.
