The tan B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Low Sensitivity, with Detachable 3.5mm Locking Connector for Azden Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a 3.5mm locking connector for direct connection to an Azden older 41BT and 10BT wireless bodypack transmitter.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Low, head miking for theater.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you use this with a MixPre 3 II recorder? Else is there another preferred wired lav?

A: It is not recommended to connect a lapel microphone directly to the 3.5mm Aux/Mic input on the Sound Devices MixPre-3 II. The Saramonic DK3A Premium Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone could, however, be connected to the XLR inputs on the MixPre-3 II using an XLR adapter that converts phantom power such as the Rode VXLR+ 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male Adapter with Phantom Power Converter (BH #ROVXLRP): https://bhpho.to/3JrNPql

Q: 2. Does the FCC still allow these frequencies for wireless mics? i understand zsome of the frequencies have been changed fpr wireless microphones.

A: Yes, as of this moment, the PRO Series frequencies (169.445MHz and 170.245MHz) are still allowed for unlicensed use by the FCC. As far as we are aware, the FCC has no plans to make changes to their rules regarding the VHF bands. Both changes in recent years and current plans for future changes mostly affect the UHF bands.

Q: 3. Can this wireless mic system be used with an iPhone 6? If so, do I need a special app on the iPhone or does the sound feed directly into the camera app?

A: The Azden WMS-PRO will require a special cable to use with a smartphone. The Rode SC4 is designed to allow standard mics to connect to the smartphone input jack. a href= http://bhpho.to/1w6S7tG target= _blank http://bhpho.to/1w6S7tG/a This will function with almost any app that is able to record audio.

Q: 4. I am looking for a wireless lavalier system for no more than $200 that offers decent audio quality. My usage will include standups and liveshots for news gathering and that's all, thus, why I don't want to spend too much money. It will only be used with my personal equipment not for my job. And I would be using it with my Sony HXRNX100 NX Cam? And I am confused about the frequencies?

A: For specific product recommendations please email your needs to AskBH@BHPhoto.com and one of our representatives will assist you.

Q: 5. Is this mic compatible with a canon t3i or t2i?

A: All day long. If you're using a two-channel monitor on the hot-shoe, it'll need phantom power. Other than that, they work great.

Q: 6. Can you buy additional mics for this system? I need 2 mics in order to video conversations.

A: B&H does not offer this microphone for sale as an a la carte item.

Q: 7. Is compatible with Sennheiser g4?

A: Yes, the Deity Microphones W.Lav Pro Omni Lavalier Microphone with 3.5mm Locking Connector is compatible for use with a Sennheiser G4 Series Wireless Bodypack Transmitter.

Q: 8. What is the guarantee on this lavalier?

A: The Lav by RODE comes with a limited one year manufactures warranty against defects

Q: 9. Can I use a 3.5 mm stereo to XLR adapter to use this on a professional camera?

A: Yes you can use something like BH #KOAXMMF for that solution.

Q: 10. Do I need a speaker with this microphone system?

A: Hello Joyce. Thank you for your inquiry regarding the Azden WMS-PRO+i VHF Wireless Lavalier and Handheld Mic System. What is your intended use with this system? Typically, this system is used for camera/mobile device video recording. If you wish to use a wireless microphone system and need amplification to speak to a moderate to large-sized crowd, this may not be the best system for that particular use.

I bought this for our HC-V800 camera. With 24x optical zoom, no appreciable audio delay was detected by me or anyone else. Easy to setup and get going, plus strong natural audio. Receiver mounts on top of camera.

After going through three other brands of wireless systems around this price point and finding numerous performance and quality issues I finally ended up hitting a home run with the Azden PRO-XR. Now having field tested the system both outdoors and indoors (along with some challenging room configurations) I can say that it performed flawlessly with ZERO interference during continuous use for close to 8 straight hours. Unit's are well built and look like they can take a few drops with no worries. As some others have commented, the included microphone is only adequate in terms of sound reproduction. It gets you started, but one may wish to invest in a higher quality mic for optimized performance. Nevertheless, I see no reason to reduce points for that because it does one thing very well, which is transmit your voice (or music) to your camera or mixer perfectly!

The best wireless mic I've ever used. Works with smartphones, pro cameras (like my C100 and GH5). Perfect for small-scale video creators, vloggers, and even small business owners who want to make their own videos. Insane range and excellent battery life. You can even use it for Zoom virtual meetings and livestreams. Review video:
