The white B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Low Sensitivity, with Detachable 2.5mm Locking Connector for Lectrosonics Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a 2.5mm locking connector for direct connection to a Lectrosonics M170 or M175 wireless bodypack transmitter.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Low, head miking for theater.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I've plugged this in to my recorder via the Senal PS-48B-35H Phantom Power Supply that's listed as a recommended accessory for this mic, with 48V phantom power turned on. However, I'm getting a very very low signal from the microphone, peaking at around -32Db even with the gain on my recorder turned all the way up. Did I get a dud or is there something I've missed here?

A: So you checked the gain, have you checked the fader? Is their a pad setting switched on the recorder or the Senal? My last suggestion is to check the voltage of LR44 batteries. Maybe they're about dead. Try switching to providing phantom power from the recorder.

Q: 2. Which Sanken COS-11D to get for use with a Rodelink Filmaker?

A: This model Sanken COS- 11D will work with the Rode Fimmaker Kit wireless transmitter. The models with "Sennheiser locking 3.5mm connection" are appropriate.

Q: 3. I bought this one. I have a question. If i connect sony transmitter this without phantom power, is it operating?

A: The COS-11D requires 3 to 10V of plug-in power, not phantom power. Phantom power is higher voltage of 12 to 48V. The Sony transmitter will supply the proper amount of plug-in power needed for the COS-11D.

Q: 4. Does anyone have experience using the Sanken COS-11D with 3.5mm Locking Sennheiser Connector with the Rode VXLR Pro adapter?

A: The Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Microphone with Normal Sensitivity & 3.5mm Locking Sennheiser Connector can run off of 3 to 10 V, and the Rode VXLR Pro provides 4 V, so the two would be compatible.

Q: 5. Since they don’t make a generic 3.5mm connector, can I cut off the Sony locking collar, and make it work on DSLR mic input?

A: The Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Microphone with Normal Sensitivity & 3.5mm Locking Connector for Sony Transmitters will only work with Sony wireless transmitters. The wiring scheme used by Sony differs from that used by most other companies, but the Sennheiser 3.5mm connector is considered universal for nearly all non-Sony devices.

Q: 6. hi i bought this one, and i wonder this mic work with sony d11 or d21 without pantom power

A: This Sanken COS-11D is designed to work with a Sony wireless bodypack transmitter. The mic requires 3 to 10V plug-in power which will be supplied by the transmitter. It will work with the UWP-D11 and D21 wireless systems.
