The Heliopan 105mm Circular Polarizer Filter helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface. This results in a noticeable increase in the saturation of skies and foliage, as well as clearer imagery when photographing in hazy conditions. A circular polarizer differs from a linear polarizer in that it supports full use of a camera's autofocus and auto exposure functions.

The front and rear surfaces of the filter both feature a single anti-reflection coating. Each coating helps to increase light transmission by reducing reflections, scattered light, and ghosting. Additionally, they offer protection to the filter substrate while helping to keep the glass clean for longer than uncoated glass.

This Heliopan filter is constructed from Schott glass for increased optical clarity and color fidelity. It features a brass filter ring for durability as well as jamming prevention.

Q: 6. Thanks, but I would prefer a hard lens cap as it protects more and won't touch the lens while transporting. I did find a Sensei 105mm Clip-On Lens Cap (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/818347-REG/Sensei_lcc_105_105mm_Clip_On_Lens_Cap.html) -will this fit any 105mm filter?Also, B+W USA seems to have a 105mm filter cap. Do you have it for sale and will it fit any 105mm filter?

A: A 105mm clip-on cap will not fit on this filter, as there are no threads on the filter to clip the cap onto. We do not currently sell the 105mm filter cap from B+W, as they have discontinued their line of slim filters and it is no longer available to us.

Q: 7. I have the cannon 70D. Will this filter fits my lens?

A: It will depend on the lens you are using on the Canon 70D. This filter will fit a lens with a 72mm filter thread.

A: The Heliopan 105mm High-Transmission Circular Polarizing Multi-Coated Slim Filter is a multi-coated filter that has eight (8) coatings on each side of the filter to reduce the occurrence of internal glare/flare and to maximize reflection reduction that is caused from off-axis light bouncing around the elements inside the lens on which the filter is attached, and to ensure optimal light transmission. Do note that, as with all multi-coated filters, this is designed to reduce INTERNAL flare/glare and reflections. If you aim the lens directly at a light source or light is entering the lens at an oblique angle on the front of the lens, flare/glare can still be created, and as such, it is still recommended to use a lens hood to reduce external flare (flare cannot be eliminated if you aim the lens directly at a light source, regardless if you are using a multi-coated filter or lens hood. That is just physics.)
