the L-Plate Set for Fujifilm GFX 50S from Really Right Stuff is a modular design composed of an Arca-type compatible base plate and L-component that facilitate easier, more stable switching between horizontal and vertical shooting orientations when working on top of a tripod.

The L-Plate maintains complete access to the battery door and the camera's ports. Both parts can be separated slightly, and retightened with the included hex key if more room is needed for your tethering or cable release. Furthermore, there is no obstructing the camera's tilting LCD monitor, and because of type II black anodizing, the L-plate itself is resistant to scuffs and scratches. Additionally, the L-plate set has laser-engraved center marks on the back to align it on a tripod head.

A: Thanks for letting us know. There is an error under the product specs in our website which would be corrected shortly. Really Right Stuff Modular L-Set for FUJIFILM X-T5 does have an Integrated QD socket for quick-detach strap systems right bellow the hand grip. It is the best space to get an even distribution of the weight on the camera when carried on a shoulder strap.

A: Unfortunately no. The Kirk L-Bracket for Fujifilm GFX 50S is an L Bracket meant for still photos and easy rotation from horizontal to vertical. NATO attachments are for use with a cage.

The RRS L plate for the GFX is first class as expected. The feature that wedges the two pieces is pure genius, locks in place with an easy tug and pop to loosen it. The wing nut allows you to take to the field without an allen wrench that can be lost. You have to remove the L end to get the battery out, but I use the 110v charging system, so there is no need to remove the battery. If I am going to have a long day, I can trade out the L plate for the vertical battery grip, and use the plate alone. I am happy with it. 5

These L-Plates are expensive but so worth it. They always fit well. I tried another brand once and found that it was bulkier and actually heavier when compared to RRS. I prefer this style plate for tripod use. 5

It's an RRS L-Plate; as good as it gets. I can confirm that this version of the plate allows you to remove the battery from the GFX50S without removing the L-plate. Previous versions did not. 5

RRS gear is typically of the highest quality, but my sample in the first shipment batch had a sticky L bracket that was difficult to extend from the main bracket. I intended to eventually call RRS support, but I got emails from B&H and RRS that a replacement L bracket was on the way. I ended up locking the L bracket about 1 inch away from the camera side, which allows cable access when I need it. The bracket is still rock solid in the extended position, but to my surprise it is also most useful as a left hand camera handle. The GFX camera is well designed, but a two handed grip improves stability a bit. 5

I generally wait at least 3 months post-acquisition to review a product, but since there are no real moving parts here I figured I would go ahead and review this after a couple weeks of consistent use. Like all RRS kit this is built very well. It is also thoughtfully engineered to handle the side mount battery of the GFX 50S. The plate locks down into my tripod head as expected - in both the horizontal and vertical orientation - and doesnt allow any slip. I have yet to try this with my battery grip but given the design of the grip I see no reason why it wont work. Top notch product. 5
