The Base Plate for Fujifilm X100F from Really Right Stuff is designed with anti-twist flanges to keep the mounted camera from twisting. Once the dovetail plate is on, quick release functionality has been added to the camera. Also, this base plate is compatible with all Really Right Stuff clamps and most other Arca-type heads.

The CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum plate maintains complete access to the battery door without obstructing the LCD monitor of the camera. An option for an L-component, that will fit the plate's modular design and makes a custom-fit L-plate, is available.

This plate has been Type II black anodized, which makes it resistant to scuffs and scratches. Furthermore, the base plate has a laser-engraved center mark on the back to align it on a head.

Instead, the Really Right Stuff Base Plate for Nikon MB-D18 Battery Grip, B&H # REBMBD18BP, would be the correct base plate for your usage needs.

A: you can not use d810 L plate on 850, however, Kirk is going to introduce L plate with 2 piece construction, which requires little more time to fit and remove. If bottom plate is permanently fixed to camera then no problem., waiting for vello or Sunway should come up with affordable rates with single piece construction.

Q: 6. Does this base plate have a QD socket?

A: Yes. If you look on the images, the QD socket is the larger unthreaded hole next to the 1/4"-20 mounting screw.

Q: 7. I've never used a base plate. What is the main reason to use one? Are they intended to stay on the camera permanently or only when using a tripod? Thanks!

A: Base plates provide a moderate level of scuff/ding protection on the bottom of the camera are intended to stay on for as long as you need. They also provide a more robust built-in quick release system for arca-swiss type tripods, as opposed to smaller quick-release plates you'd install that might not hold tight and/or loosen over time.

Q: 8. Can this plate be used with the Fuji X100T?

A: The cameras have the same frame dimensions, you should be ok.

A: Yes, the Really Right Stuff Base Plate for Nikon Z8 has a built-in allen wrench integrated into the plate.

Q: 10. I have a Fuji X-T2 with the Vertical Power Booster Grip...is this compatible with this or must it be attached directly to the camera base?

A: There is a different version of it that attached directly to the power grip base, which does NOT conform to this model.

This RRS plate as with all my experience with RRS is a perfect fit for my new camera not impacting access to anything on the camera. 5

I use this base plate for occasional tripod use and everyday mounting of a QD shoulder strap and wrist strap system. The plate integrates well with the shape of the X-Pro3, including the grip, but does not add a lot of weight. The balance of the camera on the base plate is excellent, as with all RRS plates. The fit is so good that it feels like it was designed alongside the camera. The only issue is that the screen cannot be tilted past 135 degrees (short of the full 180 degrees that the X-Pro3 is capable of) to allow room for the integrated Arca-Swiss-style plate. I can see why they designed it this way, since otherwise the base plate would need to be larger or offset in a way that would detract from integrating with the shape of the X-Pro3. It doesn’t bother me at all because of how I use the rear screen, but anyone who relies on full extension of the display may not like this design. 5

I bought a Really Right Stuff Ball head so long ago I cant remember and it is still like new today man many years later and it works like it has just left the factory. I have bought lots and lots of RRS gear over the years and it has never ever disappointed. Beautifully crafted designed and engineered, smooth, ergonomic and totally functional. Absolutely THE BEST and awesome gear designed and made by great people who know that supporting an expensive camera is paramount and they just do it so well.
