Ready Rig Gs Stabilizer + Proarm Kit With Case

$8,699.97 $12,440.96

Use the Ready Rig GS Stabilizer + ProArm Kit to transfer the weight of a gimbal-mounted camera away from an operator's arms and shoulders. By redistributing the load to the user's hips and core, this rig enables you to extend your shooting time and lessens operator fatigue. It also reduces the bounce motion sometimes seen during handheld gimbal shots. The Ready Rig GS Stabilizer works with any gimbal in standard or underslung mode.

The Ready Rig ProArms increase the basic GS Stabilizer's load range from 30 to 40 pounds. They telescope from 23 to 37", producing an effective boom range of 55". For greater operating convenience, the ProArms also feature 1/4"-20 and 3/8-16" threads, enabling you to mount an onboard monitor to either arm.

The Ready Rig GS with ProArms features a load capacity range of 1 to 40 pounds, carbon fiber support arms, and an aluminum frame. Its slim, compact profile suits it for use in tight spaces and car interior shots. A soft, zippered carrying case is included with this kit.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this work with standard 15mm rods or is the diameter too large?

A: The diameter of the rod used in this system is 25mm. We have accessory mounts available for that size such as the SHAPE Gimbal Accessory Clamp for 25mm Rod, B&H # SHMBR25. https://bhpho.to/2YPe5nD

Q: 2. Does this rig come with connecting straps?

A: Yes, it will come with the connecting straps.

Q: 3. What compatibility does the Ready Rig have with a handheld setup? No gimbal -- just a camera on a shoulder mount, for example. Can it be compared with an Easy Rig in this regard?

A: While the ReadyRig is designed to be used with a gimbal and to have both harnesses connect to a gimbal's top bar, it is possible to use this unit with a shoulder mount camera as well. You would probably just want to use a single arm and connect it to the top handle of your shoulder mount camera.

Q: 4. Will this fit on a DJI Ronin 1. Right out the box?

A: Yes it does. This product works with 30mm handlebar tubes for the Freefly MōVI Pro and the original DJI Ronin. You would need shims for 25mm bars like the Ronin-M/MX.

Q: 5. Can you upgrade to the GS arms later?

A: You are in luck, yes, the original GS can be upgraded with ProArms at a later time.

Q: 6. How large is the rig, weight and carry bag? Will the airlines allow as a carry on or should I pack it with my checked luggage? I'm female, 5'6 in height and weigh 120lbs. I flying internationally and have three connections. Just wondering about carrying through the airports during connections. Appreciate any info, thanks!

A: The ReadyRig GS weighs 14 pounds and it takes up a decent amount of room. You are going to need to check it in to luggage.

Q: 7. Will this work with the Ronin-M?

A: Hi Erik,Absolutely, I love mine! I have the Ronin M and the Ready Rig (with standard arms) and it is one of the best accessories I own! It's liberating, no more sore arms. I have been able to shoot continuously with my Ronin M and Ready Rig on jobs for over 4 hours with no fatigue..NO FATIGUE in my arms or back. I cannot comment on the Pro Arms but the standard arm design pefectly supports my Ronin M, Canon 7D MKii w/24 Shot Silencer follow focus, Atomos Ninja Blade recorder and TASCAM DR-70D mounted on the Ronin M cross bar. The Ready Rig is built like a tank and worth every penny. Just my 2 cents. - Chris

Q: 8. Is this compatible with the Movi Pro with an Alexa Mini configuration? if it is, do I need to add some accessory? or i can mount it just out of the box?

A: This product has strong velcro straps which you'd connect directly to the handles of the Movi Pro. It also has a total load capacity of 30 pounds, just as long as your rig is below that it will work. If it goes over 30 pounds you will need to step up to BH #RERIGGSA which has a 40 pound capacity.

Q: 9. Will this work with the DJI ronin 2?

A: Yes, if you keep the overall load of the Ronin 2 with camera at or below 30 pounds. The Ronin 2, B&H # DJRONIN2, weighs about 12 pounds and has a 30 pound load capacity. If the total of the Ronin 2 and camera goes over the 30 pound mark, you will need to look in to the Pro Arm Model, B&H # RERIGGSA, which has a 40 pound load capacity.https://bhpho.to/2CSe72b

Q: 10. Will this work for handheld operation? Also would it work with the Letus Helix Pro gimbal?

A: The Ready Rig GS Stabilizer + ProArm Kit with Case can be use for handled shooting when using proper mounting solutions. The Ready Rig GS Stabilizer + ProArm Kit with Case should als be able to support the Letus35 Letus Helix Pro Magnesium Gimbal, but it may be difficult to operate the gimbal, again it would depend on how you mount the gimab to the straps.

I bought this right away for my Ready Rig. Highly recommend this addition if working in tight spaces. Was really useful filming on the bow of a small boat to get jet sky footage. The camera operator could quickly swing from left to right to track the jet ski's.

Love the rig (with the vega arms update) and the company and employees that builds it. Nice people and helpful.

Now personally I would really go for the vegas arm, it makes a huge difference in terms of vertical stabilization. I did the upgrade and can't recommend it enough if you want to be sure to have no vertical bounce when walking.

Be aware that having the lumbar accessory can have a big impact on your back. Or if you don't want to buy it, just have a scarf or a small wind jacket... that you can add in the back to fill any void, and your back will thank you.

Also I have just seen a video with the Ready Rig Wrist Support Straps that seem to offer awesome possibilities.

Ask ready rig about their demo videos they did during the pandemic, they have some great tips in there.

I use this with my RS3 Pro + Tilta ring and it works great. It did require a bit of tweaking (removing the top handle/battery from the ring and using a few bolts to secure the Swivel) but it only took a few min. This swivel works with handheld too when I'm using the Ready Rig, I just attach it to the top handle of my camera.

I have only used about 20 hours so far but I love this thing ! On a tiny music video set it was a dream , not once did I bump or hook anything. As far as setup is was very quick and user friendly. I wore almost the full day and had no back pain.

I've been through a few support vest options and jumped into the Ready Rig. This is one of the most comfortable support vests I've worn and it handles our gimbal rig and even camera for controlled handheld beautifully! Its very easy to balance and ive been able to suit up and connect to my camera rigs solo. Highly reccomend!

It took me a while to pull the trigger on buying this Ready Rig and I can tell you that it’s definitely worth the investment. I have a pretty light set up (Ronin-M + GH5) however, without the Ready Rig I could really only operate the gimbal for a few minutes before my arms, shoulders, and lower back would start to fatigue.

Also, having to adjust settings on the camera & lens was also inconvenient while holding the Ronin-M with only one hand because it would put unnecessary strain on your wrist. With the Ready Rig, I’ve been able to operate my gimbal for over 20 minutes before I started to fatigue. The best part is that the Ready Rig holds your gimbal for you when you need both hands free to adjust settings on your camera (no more awkward one handed adjustments).

The unit paid for itself after a few shoots, my only regret is that I didn’t buy it earlier. If you operate a gimbal regularly, this is definitely an investment you won’t regret.
