You can fire the shutter with the included shutter release but it will not activate the auto focus. When using the pole, you are working blindly. Because of this, using zone focus will produce sharper, more consistent images. A water proof bulkhead for Canon cameras is included. If you need to go deeper optional 20" extensions are available.
