The Canon EF Xeen 14mm T3.1 Lens from Rokinon is built specifically for use as a cinema lens. It features an internal focus design so that the lens does not change size while focusing, minimizing the appearance of breathing when changing focus. Each lens in the set is multi-coated for good contrast, glare prevention, and color-match to a factory standard, allowing you to assemble a set over time with minimal color shift. This 14mm lens provides what is considered a very wide angle of view on full-frame cameras, and a tighter angle of view on smaller formats.

The lens features dual-sided focus scales marked in feet, with dual-sided iris scales. The 9-bladed iris provides a rounded aperture for natural-looking highlights and bokeh. The lens is a manual focus and iris lens, and it does not have auto focus or auto iris capability. It incorporates cinema-style focus and iris gears that share the same position across the lenses in the Xeen set. The common 114mm front diameter allows for quick lens changes when using a matte box and focus accessories. The focus ring rotates 200° from close focus to infinity. This gives you a high degree of precision when adjusting focus.

This 14mm lens has an image circle that covers a full-frame sensor. When mounted on a camera with a full-frame sensor it provides you with a very wide angle of view.

The lens features metal construction to withstand the rigors of daily production, and comes with a support foot that can help take strain off your camera's lens port.

Dual right and left side focus and t-stop scales allow your focus puller to work from either side of the lens, without having to flip the lens in the mount or facing upside numerals.

Each lens in the XEEN series shares common focus and iris gear ring positions, which speeds up lens changes as accessories such as follow focus units or iris motors don't have to be re-positioned.

The common 114mm front diameter allows for quick lens changes as you don't have to swap out anti-reflection donuts or adapters to use the same matte box.

The non-rotating front allows you to use optional clip-on matte boxes.

Clickless aperture ring for smooth iris pulls.

A minimum focusing distance of 11" allows you to get up close to your subject.

Q: 1. Do you offer this kit in PL?

A: Canon does not offer the CN-E prime lenses as PL mount; however, there are a new line of cinema primes, the Canon Sumire lenses, which are PL mounted: Currently we offer a set of 3 lenses of the Canon Sumire Primes: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1573971-REG/canon_cn_e_sumire_prime_3_lens.html

A: The lenses are compatible with the URSA PL mount.

Q: 4. Is there any casing provided for this lens kit ? Like flight case or something ?

A: This kit does not include a case. However we do have some nice options that will work with this set of 5 lenses. I recommend a Pelican 1510 Case, it is the perfect size for carry-on when traveling. You can purchase a version with foam that you can customize, B&H # PE1510FB, or with padded dividers, B&H #PE1510DB.

Q: 5. iris gear size? focus gear size?

A: 0.8 cine pitch

Q: 6. Will these lenses work if put on a Canon EOS R with a RF to EF adapter? Are there any issues with image circle coverage?

A: These lenses all cover a full frame sensor. You will be able to use them on the EOS R when using EF to RF Adapter.

Q: 7. Is there no B&H kit including flight case for the same Lens bundle?

A: At this moment we do not sell the Rokinon 24, 35, 50, 85mm T1.5 Cine DS Lens Bundle for Canon EF Mount with an included case. Please add the case below to protect your lens investment. Rokinon 6 Lens Carry-On Case for Cine DS and Cine Series BH #RORKCASECO

Q: 8. 1) Can these lenses work on a GH4?2) Are these the real focal lenghts or they are going to be different due to crop factor?3) When are these going to be available?

A: So basically with the crop factor math in play, you'd be getting a 48mm, 70mm, 100mm, and a 170mm?

Q: 9. For there is the MFT crop factor, Are these really 20mm, 32mm, 48mm and 70mm aprox?

A: Yes, the 2x crop factor applies.

Q: 10. what is maximum t stop on these? the specs say 3.1 but some comments mention 1.5...

A: Most of the lenses in this kit are T/1.5, with the exception of the 14mm lens which is T/3.1 and the 135mm lens which is T/2.2.

Please don't make the mistake I did; the 16mm is NOT full frame and thus does not work on Canon 5D and other full frame Canons. I had to exchange it for the 24mm but it was not easy to do. Thanks to B&H for working with me on this. It's very odd to mix full frame and APS-C lenses in one kit, and I didn't think twice to look to see which lenses may or may not work with full frame. You'd think ALL Cine lenses would be full frame. Most are. But not the 16mm. Aside from that, these lenses are fantastic!

Great full frame format, razor sharp, and fast aperatures. I love the geared lens and changing exposure is milky smooth with de-clicked aperatures from dark to light.

All I can say is that I love these. To say for the price sells them short. Hard to define the look but I suppose buttery but sharp.

For the price, these are very nice lenses. A little soft wide open, but we just shot a spot with a number of different vignettes from night to full sun, and they performed very well. In hindsight, I would have purchased the six lens bundle, because after the first use, I immediately ordered the 14 and 135. They have their limits, but for my needs, these lenses worked out very well.

I have been shooting with a Blackmagic Cinema Camera and Production Camera for years, but have only used Canon L Glass along with my default ef-s 17-55 2.8. Moving to cine-style primes not only helps with my follow focus setup, but I'm getting much sharer images. The 14mm doesn't show a ton of distortion on my 4K camera, and none on my 2.5k. These are really super speeds since most are at T 1.5. I can't recommend these enough.

These lenses are amazing. I bought them because they are good for shooting in low light. You adjust the aperture on the lens, it allows for plenty of light to come into the camera. They are just what I needed. It is also a great price to get four lenses.

I picked up a set of Rokinon lenses knowing that they wouldn't feature Auto focus. I use them on a Sony A7sII in conjunction with the ND throttle Canon EF to Sony Emount Adapter. I use this configuration due to shooting in slog 3 and the minimum iso being 1600 and wanting to be able to shoot these wide open at T/1.5. I will say that I am comparing these lenses to the Sony Zeiss 55mm F/1.8 and the Sony Zeiss 16-35mm f/4.0 wide angle zoom lens that these replaced. I use them for both stills and video, and go through about 125 Gigs of data per week in Raw footage before digesting it all through post. I honestly like the Rokinon's better. I feel more comfortable and am faster changing aperture settings for my shots on these Rokinon Cine DS lenses than I was on the Sony lenses and with Focus Peaking on the Sony camera these are easy to get sharp shots even though I'm shooting in full manual. I also feel that it allows you to see more creatively and forces your eye and mind to train for shaping shots than to just point, wait for the beep, and press the shutter. I use all of the lenses handheld, on a gorilla pod, on a rig with follow focus, and on a slider....daily. The only thing I'd say that is a slight negative is that the lens hoods are plastic like the rest of the bodies but they snap into place just fine and SHOULD NOT be a deterrent to anyone. I've not had any issue with them. Additionally, Each lens comes with it's own soft pouch for storage and extra protection. The markings on the bodies go a long way in helping an amateur learn to see different shots, and use the lenses as genuine tools of telling their story. I'll attach a studio image and another that I took wide open with the ND adapter in use while shooting slog3 at T1.5 and 1600iso I also picked up the 14mm lens and will be posting a separate review of that.

I've used the Rokinon Cine lense for some time now. I've used them at my work place, at university and now I just purchased them so I can do my own commercial work. For the price, you can't go wrong. These are solid prime lenses for video. Loved what I have got out of them. Nothing bad to say.
