This black Ovation Ellipsoidal HD Lens Tube from Chauvet Professional features a 14° lens and is designed to fit all ellipsoidal fixtures as well as any other standard ERS-style fixtures. The lens tube has high-precision HD optics encased in rugged housings and were constructed to endure the rigors of touring, broadcast, and theatrical production. The lens tube also comes with a gel frame and frame holder.

Q: 5. Can you dim these with an external dimmer? Without DMX.

A: The CHAUVET DJ EVE E-100Z Ellipsoidal LED Spot Fixture has built-in dimming control on the back of the light fixture. If you plan to dim the EVE E-100Z and you do not want to use DMX dimming for remote dimming, I would recommend to use the built-in dimming on the rear of the unit; AC line dimmers are not recommended for use with the CHAUVET DJ EVE E-100Z Ellipsoidal LED Spot Fixture.

I use this camera for TV commercials and a variety of other video shoots. The optics are great and the versatility is amazing. Having the XLR audio access is terrific too. I miss the built in hard drive that my XA10 has but recording to the SD cards works just fine. 5

Unbeliveably good controls and menus that make sense. The super-stablizer mode is really good. Audio inputs are a definite plus. Next up, a second XA20. Only con would have a larger still photo file size. 5

Bought this camera 3 weeks ago mainly for shooting sports in high-tempo situations. Here are some of the highights I have experienced: The colors are absolutely beautiful and I haven't found a situation where I have needed to correct anything on the color side. The Dynamic Stabilization (especially with the powered Image Stabilization) is fantastic for reducing camera shake when handheld. Good Depth of Field Lightweight and easy to move around all day without feeling like you just worked out (except maybe cardio-wise!) I researched for a month and a half, debating whether to go with a DSLR, the BMPCC or BMCC, or a professional/prosumer camcorder. As a relatively new videographer, this is a great camera to learn exposure, DOF, and framing without having to learn a hundred new lenses as well as having plenty of room to grow. Don't be fooled by the small sensor size as this camera picks up plenty of detail even at long distances.
