The black B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone from Countryman is a miniature lavalier microphone measuring only 0.1" in diameter. It features a 3.5mm locking connector and connects to select Olympus recorders with audio on left and right channels. The B6 microphone provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 130 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable, combined with the ultra-thin diaphragm, ensures low handling noise. The tiny size, combined with natural sound pickup, makes the microphone easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

The included changeable protective caps (+0, +4, and +8 dB) provide moisture resistance and allow you to adjust the frequency response to suit different applications or to match other microphones. Each of the three omni caps has a different high-frequency response characteristic that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This microphone ships with the +4 dB protective cap attached, which boosts the perceived amount of presence in your sound while leaving the lower frequencies unchanged. You can switch to the 0 dB cap in case of problems when using this microphone with high-frequency feedback.

Q: 1. Is there a belt clip for the silver cylinder?

A: Hi David M, Unfortunately no. Ralph

Q: 2. What is difference between 77 "B" vs "BPT" vs "BMP" vs "BC" versions? Want lav mic with XLR for Audient ID4 in podcast set up. (ECM-77B vs ECM-77BPT vs ECM-77BMP vs ECM-77BC).

A: The differences are in the type or termination, or connector. For the Audient you want the 77-B which has an XLR termination.

Q: 3. What extension would I use to get more length to a DSLR?

Q: 4. Will this clip also fit an Isomax 2 mic?

A: Unfortunately they do not make a vampire clip for the Isomax 2 only the B series of mic's.

Q: 5. Are the cables on this lav improved from the original filmmaker kit. I have had to replace 3 lavs under warranty in the past 5 years as a result of cable shorts? They are very thin and not "durable", despite being described as such.

A: The RodeLink Lav Omnidirectional Microphone does have durable Kevlar-reinforced cable, but unfortunately all lavalier mic's for wireless systems are subject to shorts, due to the being pulled or the connector end rubbing against a person's hip at the transmitter end. You may consider a replacement mic, such as the Countryman B3 Omni Lavalier Mic, Standard Sens, with 3.5mm Locking Connector for Sennheiser Wireless Transmitters (Black), BH #COB3W4BSR, which has a more rugged design, and features a water-resistant mic.

A: Yes but bulky

A: The Sony ECM 77B features an XLR connector that is not directly compatible with the T5I, however using a AA battery in the mic plus the proper adapter cable such as the Kopul LMT-100, this mic is able to connect to the 1/8 mic input on the camera.

Q: 8. Does this work with Sennheiser lavs?

A: Yes, the Rode Lavalier II Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone (Black) has a "Sennheiser" type 3.5mm wiring configuration and will work with Sennheiser wireless transmitters with 3.5mm input connections.

Q: 9. What kind of connection does this mic have?

A: The Sony ECM-77B Miniature Omnidirectional Lavalier Mic has a standard XLR 3-pin male connector. This mic can be powered with a AA battery or phantom power. An additional cable can also be used together with the attached mic cable.
