The Gator Cases GR2L Standard Rack Case (Black) is a high-density military grade lightweight polyethylene case with 2U rack space and 18.75" rackable depth. The case has front and rear rack rails and threaded field replaceable 7.0mm zinc plated steel rack rails. It also has locking lids, heavy-duty twist latches and comfortable recessed side handles.

Q: 1. Would be this case good for a crawn macrotech 2400?

A: Yes, the amp is 16" deep, and this rack is 18.75" deep.

Q: 2. why does this photo show a 10U space rack when the listing is for a 14U. i would like to see what an 14u rack looks like when shopping for a 14U rack. can the casters be taken off and can the unit then be set on a table top?

A: There is no stock photo available for the 14U. Gator also shows a 10U on their listing for the 14U on their own website. I will pass along the feedback to them.Regarding the casters, they are not removable. Our standard GR series of racks (which is similar but without wheels) is only available up to 10U ina single unit. If additional spaces are needed, they are all stackable so a GR-6L and GR-8L can be placed on top of one another for a total of 14U. Having two separate racks would also make it more portable as they could be carried individually instead of having to carry around 14U of equipment at once. If wheels are needed later, Gator also makes compatible caster board kits which could be added to the bottom of the stack for additional ease of transport.

Q: 3. Does this come with rack screws? If so, how many?

A: Yes, rack screws and washers are included, although Gator does not indicate how many.

Q: 4. Is this Case suitable for Behringer X32 Rack?

A: Yes it is. A 4 space rack will work for this mixer.

Q: 5. Will this rack fit Blackmagickdesign ATEM TV Switchers?

A: Yes; the ATEM TV and Production switchers have a small footprint; they are either rack-mountable, or may be placed on a rack-mounted shelf (in the case of the ATEM Mini.

A: The distance between the front and rear rack rails on the Gator G-Tour 12U Cast Tour Style ATA Flight Rack Case with Casters is 17".

Q: 7. Will the Allen & Heath SQ-5 fit in this rack? I know it should fit within the 12RU, but worried about lid clearance height.

A: I contacted Gator Cases to find out about the lid clearance height on the Gator GRC12X10PU Pop-Up Console Rack Case and they said that the case only accommodates up to 5" in height and the Allen & Heath SQ-5 Digital Mixer requires 7.8" so it will not fit in this case. The only case that Gator offers for the SQ-5 is the Gator G-Tour Series ATA Flight Case for Allen & Heath SQ-5 Mixer (B&H # GATRAHSQ5ND). For additional compatible options, we offer the ProX Flight Case for Allen & Heath SQ-5 Console (B&H # PRXSAHSQ5), the ProX Flight Case for Allen & Heath SQ-5 Console with Doghouse and Wheels (B&H # PRXSAHSQ5DHW), ProX Flight and Road Case with Wheels for Allen & Heath SQ-5 Digital Mixer (B&H # PRXZFAHSQ5), and the SKB iSeries SQ-5 Mixer Case (B&H # SK3I222212S5).

A: Yes The Teranex Mini will fit no problems its a standard 19 inch wide unit the Gater rack is design for it . No problems

A: The shallow rack cases are shaped to stack on other shallow rack cases only. They will not lock onto the lid of a standard rack case.

Excellent price (On Sale). Great Sturdy case. I will use this case to mount Amateur Radio Equipment for use in emergencies or portable Field Day Contests. Everything I need to include in my portable station, will fit in this case nicely. I have used other Gator Cases to build up sound systems. They work great. 5

This case protects my audio gear while going to/from remote corporate events. It offers good solid protection with reasonable handling. I would not recommend this case for shipping, airlines, or anywhere it could receive rough treatment. The clasps that hold the ends on are not heavy duty but do serve the purpose for general use. I am pleased with the purchase though and highly recommend it. 5

Many of the road cases are either heavy wooden things or monster blow-molded plastic. This Gator case is tough plastic and isn't any bigger than it has to be. Also it's light but sturdy with an aluminum frame around both the front and the back with steel strips for the mounting screws to thread into. I use it for my organ rig with three heavy power amps (haven't graduated to light class-D amps yet) active crossover for horns, mid-bass and sub, and a line level mixer to feed the keyboards into. I braced the amps with brackets to the rear rails and it's solid. Heavy, but nothing's going anywhere. The sidewalls are doubled to provide support when lifting by the side handles. Room left for a power conditioner. The rear rails are also handy because I mounted a 1U panel with all the XLR jacks, Speakon outs and even power connector so all cables terminate where I can see them instead of buried inside the case. Setup is quick and foolproof. 5

Was surprised at how light the box was that this came in. Also appreciated that it included mounting screws. Everything fit perfectly and I'm confident in the protection it provides for my equipment as well. The only negative would be a strong smelly plastic you get when you open it, but that's understandable and forgivable for the craftsmanship and lightweight plastic. 5
