The tan B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier from Countryman is a miniature lavalier microphone measuring only 0.1" in diameter. It features a 3.5mm locking connector and connects to select Tascam recorders with audio on the left channel. The B6 microphone provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 120 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable combined with the ultra-thin diaphragm ensure low handling noise. And the tiny size combined with natural sound pickup make the microphone easy to position, for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

The included changeable protective caps (+0, +4, and +8 dB) provide moisture resistance, allowing you to adjust the frequency response to suit different applications or to match other microphones. Each of the three omni caps has a different high-frequency response characteristic that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This microphone ships with the attached +4 dB protective cap that boosts the perceived amount of presence in your sound, while leaving the lower frequencies unchanged. You can switch to the 0 dB cap in case of problems with high-frequency feedback.

With low-handling noise and a rugged construction, the B6 microphone is a suitable choice for theater, broadcast, places of worship, and general lavalier applications.

Q: 10. Could you fit a Zoom H6 in this bag? Was planning on upgrading to a better recording unit down the road but was really curious.

A: The Zoom H6 will fit into this bag, but because it has XLR mic connections on the two sides of the unit, you may have difficulty making it work when sources are connected. Access to these connections would also be limited. Perhaps, a reasonably-priced case such as the Zoom PCH-6 Protective Case for Zoom H6 Handy Recorder, BH #ZOZPCH6 could be used until you upgrade to a larger mixer.

Extended the life of my DR-60D by 150% and I can hot-swap batteries and extend the life even further. Simple to use and great design, I can mount it to the top of my recorder with the included 1/4 attachment.

I use a combination of a Tascam Dr-100 and a couple ZoomH4ns to record audio during wedding ceremonies and both products have very unreliable battery life in my experience. I was tired of having to waste time running extension cords around churches so I started looking for a way to extend the battery life of my audio recorders, and that's when I found this product. Now I just plug the audio recorders (yes this battery packs works for the Zoom H4n too) into these battery packs and move on. I don't have to worry about battery life at all anymore because even if the pack dies (which hasn't happened yet), the in-body batteries take over without interrupting the recording. I would recommend this product to anyone using field audio recorders for over an hour two at a time without the option/desire to plug the recorders into the wall.

This product works exactly as intended. It significantly extends the runtime of my DR-40 recorder. As a side bonus, it also can be used for charging cell phones, including iPhones which can be picky about power sources.

if you use a dr-100 for field recording, you know that the lithium battery (bpl-2) does not last too long if phantom power is needed. i have 2 batteries and i run out of power every time. when this external battery came out, i bought it very fast to try it. for my surprise it works amazingly good. highly recommended. i use 6 duracell 2450 mah on it and it lasts for many, many hours using the phantom power on my dr-100. cheers
