Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will this caster fit the avenger light stand?

A: These casters fit Avenger light stands which have 22mm legs such as the Avenger Light Stand (Black, 12.6') B&H # AVA635B. https://bhpho.to/2pLHHBq

Q: 2. On the specs it says has three metal latches for closure. I only see two in the pictures. Can you confirm ?

A: The SKB Trap ATA Stand Case with Wheels comes with only two latches. We apologize for the discrepancy.

Q: 3. How many of these (a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/112099-REG/Matthews_756140_Century_C_Turtle_Base.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/112099-REG/Matthews_756140_Century_C_Turtle_Base.html/a) disassembled could this case hold? Thanks!

A: that light stand you referenced has a 40 main section. Sometimes the actual overall length is more than the nominal length for the main section. The listing for the case gives the interior dimensions and a ID length of 36.5 .

Q: 4. Will these work with 25mm C stands?

A: No; casters are not recommended for use with C-stands. Attempting to use casters on C-stands can make the stand unstable and dangerous. We do not have casters designed or recommended for use on C-stands.

Q: 5. Can these be easily attached and removed before and after a shoot? Without the need of a screwdriver.

A: A tool is needed to attach this item properly.

Q: 6. Will this caster fit on a Manfrotto 1004BAC light stand?

A: The castors fit perfectly on this stand. I bought them for that stand model. There's even a small indent at bottom of each leg to take the set screw for the castor. The castors are superb: great build quality. They're a perfect addition/improvement to the Manfrotto stand that you have. I should have bought when I bought originally bought the stands. Wheeled stands are far easier to reposition. You'll be happy with this castor choice.

Q: 7. Will these casters fit on Manfrotto 032BASE Single Base for Autopole?

A: Yes, the leg of the Manfrotto 032BASE Single Base is round and 22mm in diameter. Check the Specifications tab for both products.

Q: 8. Do I have to permanently screw the nails to the legs? Because I would like to be able to take them off after each use because I have the 1000BAC that fold up and stack.

A: You can just tighten snug enough so they don't fall off, then loosen to remove. The locking function is to prevent the wheels from rotating when in use.

Q: 9. Is it possible to change the wheels on this if they break?

A: Hi David. Sorry, but I do not have the case to inspect and advise you. I purchased it for my son who is a professional NYC musician, working non-stop, who really punishes cases, but never broke a wheel. This case is very heavy duty and should easily withstand the punishment he puts on them. He loves this case. Hope this helps.

Q: 10. Will this fit Avenger A2033 C-Stands?

A: This 110G wheels only fit Manfrotto stands with a 22mm leg. They will not fit the legs on an Avenger A2033 C-stand.

For some stands I need to wheel around the studio. Saves photographer wear and tear...!

Loading heavy items on my heavy duty lightstands changes everything for a much better way to move the stand. I always wanted to try installing casters but I thought it would be a “process” to install and remove. It turns out that it’s a rather quick process.

It only involves 1 extra step which is sliding the lock plate inside and that’s it.

The wheels roll very smoothly even on a thick carpet (be sure to see the pictures I posted here) it features brakes and it can be easily engaged by stepping on them on and off positions. The wheels are satisfactorily large enough to roll smooth even with heavy loads such as a 2x1 LUXLI Taiko, an ARRI T2, etc.

ALSO, note that EACH stand brand and size, even if they are all 25mm legs, the LEG HEIGHT and POSITION on how you install is critical for proper install so the wheels are straight and aligned. (Again, see pictures!)

Very happy with these wheels.

It is kind of hard to be excited about casters. They either work well or they don't. These work well. ... A note for first-timers: There is a right way and a wrong way to attach castors to a tripod. The correct way is to attach the casters so the flat surface of the brake mechanism over the wheel is perfectly parallel to the floor.
