Q: 1. Has anyone had problems with the legs pulling completely out bypassing the locking pins? I've tried pulling out the legs slowly but even then sometimes the pins don't engage.

A: Never a problem for me, though I haven't used mine but a dozen times. I tried twisting the legs a bit when pulling out, and the leg always stayed in. They can be pulled out by pressing the red button and then re-inserted. After doing this three times for each leg all are as secure as originally.
