Q: 3. Hi, any idea where I can buy a top cap for the umbrella? It unscrews and falls off. It's the very end, metal piece at the tip of the umbrella. Certified service centers don't sell them. I would hate to have to buy a new umbrella for this particular piece that I'm sure they have extras for. =) Thanks!

A: Hi Albert, You could probably substitute a flat washer and an M6 metric nut. It wouldn't be as pretty, but it would do the job. You could find these at your local hardware store or the hardware department at Home Depot. Good Luck!

Q: 4. Are these better than a thick yoga mat?

A: Yes, the Auray IP-M isolation pads should work better than a yoga mat to absorb vibrations created by studio monitors. But the yoga mat will definitely work better than the IP-M pads would for yoga! :)

Q: 5. How does a medium silver Profoto umbrella differ from a small silver Profoto umbrella? (I'm shooting headshots)

A: One of them is bigger than the other. s=33 m=41

Q: 6. Has anybody used the medium silver umbrella combined with the less powerful B2 head & What about after losing 1.5 stops with the diffuser added ? Most videos I've observed seem to be using the small size with the B2, apart from 1 Jared Platt video which had the medium silver being used. That photograph was however taken with an additional B2 head and a B1 head as well. Its hence hard to completely judge just the output of the medium umbrella alone.

A: I agree with William N. On the fantastic light. For portraits, I don't diffuse it either as it makes for nicer catch lights, imo.

Q: 7. What is the front to back depth of this when it is open?

A: It is 15 deep.

Q: 8. Is there a fabric to cover the front of the umbrella?

A: Yes. You can buy separately a diffuser to cover the front. I did and it is very good

Q: 9. Can anyone tell me how thick these isolation pads are?

A: As you can see from the images, the pad slants from the back to the front. The height at the very back is 2.25 and the height at the lowest point of the slant is 1.75 . The front lip section is the same height as the very back, at 2.25 .

Q: 10. Does this come with a power supply?

A: Yes, the Netgear GS305P 5-Port Gigabit PoE+ Compliant Unmanaged Network Switch includes a power adapter.
