The 6X-500VIN Vintage Edition Mic Preamp and Equalizer from Lindell Audio is a single-channel transformer-coupled mic preamp along with a passive 2-band Pultec-style equalizer. This all-discrete design, based upon the vintage 1731 amplifier, gives you an EQ section with the sound of a classic Pultec. With a 15 dB boost of the high end and punchy low end, the preamp produces clear and accurate output.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. how connect cable?

A: The Saramonic SR-PAX1 Two-Channel Audio Mixer, Preamp, Microphone Adapter has a 3.5mm TRS output to connect the cable which will also connect to the mic input on the camera. You can use a cable like the Kopul CMX-RC30 Right-Angle Coiled Stereo Mini Cable (B&H # KOCMXRC30B) to connect to a camera with a 3.5mm TRS mic input.

Q: 2. Will this work to power and amplify a condenser mic fed into a 3-way line splitter, specifically a Whirlwind SP1X3LL?

A: The Rolls MP13 is able to power a condenser mic and the output can be connected to a splitter such as the Whirlwind SP1X3LL. The MP13 however only offers 36v of phantom power and would not be recommended for mics who require a full 48v. Many mics are able to operate at a range of voltages from 9v - 52v and you should check your mics requirements before purchase.

Q: 3. How much power does this draw?

A: Rolls does not specify. It is very low ()14-24 VDC. Please refer to the schematic below:a href= http://static.bhphotovideo.com/lit_files/89467.pdf target= _blank http://static.bhphotovideo.com/lit_files/89467.pdf/a

Q: 4. what is the Warranty on the AT-PEQ30?

A: There is a limited 1 year warranty on this item which will cover manufacturer failure only.

Q: 5. Since this doesn’t work for IPhone, would it still work directly plugged into your PC for recording two mics? Like on Audition?

A: The Saramonic SR-PAX1 Two-Channel Audio Mixer, Preamp, Microphone Adapter's 3.5mm output could technically be plugged into a computer's microphone jack, but this is not how it is designed to be used and you would achieve much better results by using an audio interface instead.

Q: 6. Does this come with a power adapter? If so, can it work for 110v to 220v?

A: Yes, the Rolls MP13 Mini-Mic Preamp includes the Rolls PS27s 15 Vdc 500ma 100-240VAC power adapter.

Q: 7. Will this preamp boost an XLR signal a further distance than without using it? I have to cover a distance of ~300ft and am trying to assure no loss of signal.

A: The Rolls Mini-Mic Preamp is not really designed for boosting signal on a long cable run. For 300 feet, you should use high quality shielded audio cables to avoid signal loss and if you do need to increase the gain without adding noise, you might want to try the Cloud Microphones Cloudlifter CL-1 Mic Activator (B&H # CLCL1) which improves signal-to-noise ratio and improves the performance of passive microphone signals by driving stronger, cleaner signals over longer XLR cable runs.

Q: 8. can this unit only be powered by the internal battery?

A: The Saramonic SR-PAX1 Two-Channel Audio Mixer, Preamp, Microphone Adapter is powered by a 9V battery. It does not have an internal rechargeable battery.

Q: 9. Does this mixer work with IPhones?

A: To connect the Saramonic SR-PAX1 Two-Channel Audio Mixer, Preamp, Microphone Adapter, you would require a 3.5mm to Lighting adapter such as BH #APLAADAP.

Q: 10. I have 2 3.5mm mics will they be on separate left and right channels or be all in one?

A: The Saramonic SR-PAX1 Two-Channel Audio Mixer, Preamp, Microphone Adapter can be used to connect two microphones with 3.5mm connectors. There are separate left and right inputs on the back to connect both mics and a button on the front labeled "M/S" which is used to select between mono and stereo mode. When using the mono setting, the left and right channels will be combined as one mixed signal on both the left and right channels (same audio on both sides). When using the stereo mode, the two mics will be separated on different sides.
