First, 60W will probably meet your needs in a small video studio. I only use 2-8% of the output. Secondly, a standard modifier platform (Bowens' S mount), has saved me a great deal of time. The lower cost silent heads would only accept barndoors, gaffing tape and aluminum foil. Far Far easier to repurpose old modifiers or purchase new. Previously, I would have to retape the foil at inopportune times. SILENCE is critical for me. Recording a cast once correctly is worth all the post processing in the world. Nothing beats SILENCE.

If you make YouTube videos or other videos at home or on locations and need a solid, silent, and bright light, the UL-60 is probably the best light under $250 for you. It has completely silent operation, fantastic build quality and hardware, and great light output and quality. It's a bummer it doesn't come with a remote or case, but for around $200 I don't think this will be a big issue. The controller is great, looks and feel professional. The controls are simple, and the app integration is great. The Bowens mount is solid and well made. The cables are more than long enough and come with Velcro ties which is a welcome addition. I'd go for this light over the new SL-100d, since it is quieter, can be battery operated, and doesn't sacrifice that much in terms of output. This light is just fine for a keylight through my Godox 37" octobox

I have been doing YouTube videos for 15 years. Over these years I have grown my channels to over 2 million subs. I use studio lights and a nice camera to film. For the last few years I have used an Aputure 120D and it failed last week. Would not stay on. I bought that light due to the raves but I was never happy with it. I found the quality of light to be average. When it died I was considering a $2k Rotolight set but didn't like that they had loud fans. In the past I used many LED panels from Amazon that were $200-$300 but again, quality of light was not so good. I decided to order this Godox 60 watt silent light as it can directly replace my 120d. I can use the same stand, soft box, etc. It arrived and HOLY WOW I could not believe it. Not only is this built better than the Aputure, it puts out MUCH brighter and stronger light and I no longer have dull looking videos. The color, punch and everything improved with this light. For under $200 this is a steal and I use it at around 28% for my use. It's dead silent and so well made for the money. It's a rare deal these days. If you are looking for an amazing light for interviews, talking heads, etc then get this, a stand and a soft box and you are in business. Glad I didn't spend the $2k on the other lights as this is all I need and bests my much more pricey Aputure light (which I now have tossed in the trash). Thanks B&H and Godox!

This is a pretty great light for the price. Worked right out of the box and I was able to control light output via my Godox App. Unfortunately I couldn't say the same for the 60 that I purchased along with this one. Oh and did I mention, the light is SILENT. Great for video shooting for sure!

I recently purchased these for a small studio/office as an upgrade to a pair of Godox SL60Ws. The UL60s are silent, which was very important to me since my lights have to be pretty close to my mic. I'm impressed with the improved construction quality over the SL60Ws. The light is consistent throughout the day and day after day. The controller and App are easy to use as well. All in all, my experience has been great.

This light makes zero noise and still doesn't get hot. For some reason, it appears to be the only light like this on the market. Since I deal with music and I hate having to deal with background noise, its the only choice for me!

Do you hear that? You don't? That's because it's a UL from Godox! Awesome light, plenty powerful enough for a YouTube studio situation. These are the lights I should have buying all along!
